Took about 20 minutes of fluffy stuff to get this before stopping. Melting as fast as it fell.

We trudged on for days, only the howl of the wind and the occasional Polar bear on the horizon for company. The blinding white waste seemed endless...

I got caught out in that snow shower during my walk. It was various intensity levels and looked nice, some big flakes at times, but sadly just not enough power in it to stick. It would have provided a nice dusting during the night.

    edit: Heavy now

Possibly the same shower that got me in North Kildare although it wasn't heavy at all for me, see photo. Got close to moderate for about 30 seconds but nothing to write home about.

North Co Cork seems to be doing fairly well out of this. Any reports from there?

BBC weather showing frontal system over Ireland tomorrow night mostly falling as snow across the north, midlands and much of Leinster. It will possibly be very knife edge between rain, sleet and wet snow.

I have 3cm sitting on the roof of the car, after thawing and a small top-up of graupel just now.

Another prolonged shower of snow, soft hail and heavy hail descended here. It looked like there was a thaw on for a while but it may well stay for the evening now. Baltic.
