The wind is really hampering "stickage"

Not that windy here Steve, sticking readily on surfaces again but less intense now.

    Snow in Tipp.

Are ye sure that's Tipp? Fox looks like US / Canada variety tbh. foxes here don't generally go 'fluffy' like that. Eye colour very strange too. A possible release?

I had plenty of snowfall on 27/28 November 2010 in blue skies.

Snow again in West Clare, however not sticking we temperature too high. Amazing how fluffy it is givrn the temperatures.

The last shower here I could see dropping wintry precip around 590m away, but nothing here!

Stopped snowing again, could possibly get interesting again this evening when temps drop if showers are still around.

    Aherlow again. Even heavier now

Just back from a walk in Aherlow. It's covered up there - a good 3 or 4 inches deep in places!

Yes, I am quite sure. Fox is an ex-fox, python stylie, courtesy my resident taxidermist. ;)

High in the western half of the country.

In the east we have a land track that is too long, winds are not strong enough to carry the showers through and a lack of inland convection this time of year.

Some might get through later though.

    Monday night?

It's better in terms of precipitation (obviously) but remains to be seen...I think we have a good chance though at least of falling snow. Whether it settles or not I don't know.

Few showers approaching Dublin but severely weakened and will probably evaporate just before hitting the city. Flurries at best here on the E coast as is normal during a Westerly. Monday night looks interesting, back edge snow a possibility. Hopefully ppn will still be moderate when the colder uppers flood in.

  • Registered Users Posts: 23,564 ✭✭✭✭Kermit.de.frog

I can offer some hope for Dubs. Temperatures will be falling back below freezing quickly this evening and we'll see a slight change in the wind direction but the country will remain in the very cold air through tonight. We might get some light to moderate showers and that would whiten the place up.

Monday night probably our best bet at this stage though.

    Endless_snow.jpg

We trudged on for days, only the howl of the wind and the occasional Polar bear on the horizon for company. The blinding white waste seemed endless...

Few flakes blowing around in D11.

Getting a little depressing watching any showers worth it going left and right of here and just getting a little melting dandriff at the edge of each dying shower.

    They're losing intensity now.
