It has been going on a long time, but allegedly some have been using stooges.
The 250k found in the past couple of days was allegedly an example.
The socialite with fake name was arrested three weeks ago. Stooges get caught with €250k three weeks later.
"These people are not criminals in any way whatsoever" according to the Gardai. Yet they knew to raid them and they had that amount and a huge Global operation.
No sympathy for the morons. Hope they get everything thrown at them. They won't. Put them in a room with the 'gangsters' when they are really pissed off and see how glamorous it really is.

Edited - Sunday World has a big story today about the 'Socialite Network'.

'Socialite Network' what was that bout ?

Not sure what names can be mentioned, but basically another well known gangster that has seemingly temporarily sided with the Kinahans while it suits him, has a stepson. The stepson has a pseudonym and is the main person in the Sunday World article yesterday.
He has friends that are 'models', bar workers and rich-kids and some pub/club owners. Apparently that makes him a socialite.
He uses whomever of those are stupid enough to be used, to traffic or hold cash/drugs for him.
He has orchestrated a network to distribute drugs in Australia with the help of the Kinahans.
He was arrested three weeks ago, and then properties were raided and the Gardai found €250,000 in a mattress and cocaine etc.

    https://extra.ie/2018/04/18/news/irish-news/dublin-socialite-drug-bust

The people caught with it, apparently have no criminal ties whatsoever (except him obviously). They just seem to be people that the Garda discovered might have cash or drugs on their premises.

I see Dave Kearney and the missus split up.

Fat freddies trial began yesterday.Seems there DNA evidence in the vehicles used in the murder of douglas.
Id say this is enough to put him away for a long time but then again the ridiculously lean sentences that are handed out in this country could mean he goes away for a few years only.

Yeah, if he goes down for this he wont see the light of day for a long time.

Brian Meehan has been in jail 19 years and still no sign of him getting out, id imagine this case will be similar.

Why they even needed to be 'hands on' in the feud or in Meehans case the VG murder is beyond me, pay some junkie or little 18 year old wannabe to do it and stay far away as possible.

It's almost as if they were set up... Freddie is seriously well known in dublin 8, too well known to be hands on. Utterly ridiculous to think he thought he'd get away with it. Deffo snitched on.

Theres a technicality ie the Cop leading the case against him killed himself and theres all type of speculation that he was caught up in some racket with the hutches and was trying to get Patrick hutch off the murder charge.
That's what I gather.Seems all very hush but id say when it breaks there will be some serious sh1t as theres seems to be something seriously off with the Garda killing himself as he coudlt face what was covered up.

Wasn't he in the doghouse though? I thought someone posted that here before.

Except they weren't either of the 2 vehicles actually used in the act, and they're not claiming he was one of the two involved, but yes he's going away regardless. Lucky its the SCC though, a regular jury would definitely have problems with that proof.

We probably shouldn't be discussing an ongoing trial, although I'm not sure where we stand seeing as there's no jury.
