This was a relative disappointment at the time, after thinking that it was a full on New Order/Johnny Marr/Pet Shop Boys group

    ROACHFORD!

Is this the infamous Blur performance where they were given a ahem, ‘stimulant’, before going onstage?

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,444 ✭✭✭✭Skid X

I wasn't expecting Blur for another few years

Remember hearing this Blur tune on pirate radio when it was release and loving it - never really liked them much after that but eventually came around

“Number one for five weeks. No record has done that for six years."

Simon Mayo comparing the KLF to the Glitter Band

I think he got away with it, just about

    PLAY QUEENSRYCHE!! :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,507 ✭✭✭dasdog

Operation: Mindcrime was a very brave and excellent album

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,507 ✭✭✭dasdog

Half of KLF was half of The Orb at one point. So their ridiculous pop techno brilliantness extended to underground culture.

What do you call a male that vacuums with the light turned off with birds of prey on each arm?

    Nil Points!

It's like a really bad song produced to an inch of its life trying to make a future Eastenders actress sound like Belinda Carlisle

    Nul points from me

For the week that’s in it, up next on BBC Four…

    English Racist Guitarist Eric Clapton!

Bizarre fact - I actually met the little kid in this Cher video (Christina Ricci) on the set of a low budget Irish movie called "The last of the high kings" working as an extra - and Gabriel Byrne. My first and only last film appearance. Got £50 a night to hang around a Dublin beach and was told to stand on the sidelines and roll cigarettes.

I saw that in the cinema, these two excitable young wans coming in at the start were convinced that some fella In the audience was Jared Leto.

I never really got Eric Clapton - never bought any of his music which is testament to how boring his rip off blues was. Three years devising and playing in Cream fair enough but years after that yawn.
