    He Heifers 10 days - 2 weeks old 210 a piece
He bulls AI 2 weeks 260 a piece
He bulls stockbull 2 weeks 225 a piece
    Friesan bulls 2 weeks/1 month 100 a piece

The punters seem to be going mad for the AI Hereford this year for some reason, HE2043 calves went very well for a few buyers here last year

Good prices no commission either. Is it a dealer buys them?

No haven't had a dealer here yet this year. A farmer bought these today, will take more next week.

It's worth the money as the calves aren't subjected to the Mart with stress and possible illness and lost time

75 euro for eight week old fr bulls outta the yard for the boat. I Couldn't sell for a month. Wouldn't pay for the milk.

What age will they take calves in the factory.....it would make economic sense when they don't even cover the milk they drink.

I got wrote off Monday, aa bulls 2 weeks old 160 down to 80, all heifers below 90 (I don't bring home) should I be keeping them longer or is it worth it

Sell them private next time so if someone gives you a bad price you don't have to sell.

Bought 12 4 to 6 week old AA heifers for €225 each
    14 HR for &170 each - mixture of male/female all 4 to 5 weeks
    All bought directly from yard

Also rang a neighbour who had HR heifer calves for sale - asked if he was selling - he said he did not sell from the yard and only sold through the mart

Is it a bad price or the price of them? I know it's a lot less than lads are used to getting for them but the place is flooded with dairy cows who all have a calf. Anything that's plentiful will not command a high price, other examples are beef and milk.
