Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ref looks a bit like Jacob Stockdale's skinny twin brother. ;)

Not acting like him, mind. :D

Hanrahan is an average rugby player. Hopefully BJ can stay fit and get some time over the next while because he surely is a more realistic long term option

He has the ability, but lacks consistency and cool head. Could mature into a player, but if he doesn't grab these chances he'll disappear

Hanrahan the happiest man on the field with that Peanlty try.

    Peno try. Serious scrum advantage

17-0 now after a penalty try

    Depressing to watch

Kiss looks like he's going to cry

Ulster in total freefall. Not even close to a full strength munster and they're being annihilated everywhere

Between resigning JJ and giving Keatley a new contract, twas a shocking period of bad decisions by the powers that be imo.

We'll never know how good our current squad could be until something drastically changes or improves at 10.
    Hopefully Johnson is the answer.

Munster know where Ulster's weakness is and they're just pushing away until it gives. Scrums, mauls, rinse and repeat.

Poor Rodney Ah You is having an awful time out there. Hopeless in the scrum, possibly worse still in the loose. Presumably this will be his last season in the Irish provincial setup?

This is a brutal display from Ulster, being completely bossed around the pitch by a second string Munster side.

  • Registered Users Posts: 88 ✭✭Everdene

Ulster need to be careful here in the scrums to avoid a card

Ulster forwards have their body positions too high at the maul. Need to get lower.

Munster should nearly knock on deliberately and get scrum penalties. For a home team Ulster are listless.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

Great goal line defense at the end. Couldn't believe they took the lineout instead of 3 points considering the forwards performance so far.

A deliberate knock on is a penalty though?

    Not when you're in possession.

Not sure if you're serious tbh, so ignore if in jest. ;)

Darren O'Shea is having an excellent game. Calvin Nash hasn't had much ball but his chasing had been really good and his tackling is really physical.

Yes it was in jest. I'd be contesting every lineout looking for a knock on though.

I genuinely thought it was going to be much tighter than this...in my mind it was a 1 score game at the ended .. frankly Munster are bossing Ulster all over the park, Piatau is looking good in spurts...but otherwise it's a disjointed performance from Ulster...I know people complain about Les K a lot...but is this performance the norm?

Aye, very physical from both. Be great if DOS can produce this regularly. After being burned by McCloskey Earl's has put in some serious tackles

Short of growing a pack in his back garden, I can't honestly see how Les Kiss can change this.

Guys can someone explain me how you can score 70 in 2 games vs Quins and then conceed 70 in 2 interpros 3 weeks later?

    Quins are absolutely shocking

As bad as Ulster have been, if Ryan gets binned for that tip tackle potentially, then maybe the score is a bit closer as Ulster don't get bossed in the scrum for those 10

So many ulster forwards are unremarkable and inane.

    Quin's pack <<<< Ulster's 1st pack.

If Ulster can stay out of an arm wrestle, they have the backs to get some scores.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,037 ✭✭✭Cosmo Kramer

Some change in the scrums (and the flow of the game) with Ah You and McCall off since half time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,018 ✭✭✭Bridge93

Ah you can't have long left as a pro rugby player in this country or any

That's an awful decision not to award that

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,186 ✭✭✭munsterlegend

Harsh call to be fair but probably technically correct.

It's alright to not like a call, but jeez BBC NI don't exactly mince their opinion :pac:

Harsh call.. but it's correct according to the laws... pity... woukd have made a game of it.

    Potato Farls
Disappointed with the call, not that it wasn't correct but simply cause it would've made the game a bit more interesting.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,037 ✭✭✭Cosmo Kramer

NI comms have lost it there, no sense of impartiality at all. A technically correct decision, Ryan probably wouldn't have got across but he wasn't given the chance to try.
