Disappointed with the call, not that it wasn't correct but simply cause it would've made the game a bit more interesting.

NI comms have lost it there, no sense of impartiality at all. A technically correct decision, Ryan probably wouldn't have got across but he wasn't given the chance to try.

Not a red card..that's a load of rubbish. Yellow and no more.

Red card, munster to 13 for a while, talk about a turning point

Impressed with the referee's firmness with the TMO these. "Is there anything different you want me to look at".

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,600 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

    Potato Farls
That's an extremely harsh call as a red. Yellow at most.

looks like the ref has decided to give them a helping hand with that red

Wow red ? Yellow maybe but red?
There does seem to be a lot of niggle and off the ball stuff in this game.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,987 ✭✭✭Cosmo Kramer

    Never a red.

TMO was trying to tell him he was wrong ;)

Even with the bias the BBC commentators have, the co comm is saying it was harsh

TMO was trying to tell him he was wrong ;)

But lacked the conviction to actually say it..hardly a red card

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,600 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

    Potato Farls
TMO should have had the balls to tell the ref that he didn't think it was a red, rather than just asking him to look at it again in real time.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,681 ✭✭✭✭P_1

TMO was trying to tell him he was wrong ;)

If that was the case then why did he not say so instead of a wishy washy "err here's another angle"?

Munster down to 13 men... hopefully the game doesn't hinge on a poor decision...in the meantime ..game on!!

Blatant in at the side penalty by ulster missed just before the try. Good kick though.

That's what they always do. It's like thier secret code not to have the ref undermined.

  • Registered Users Posts: 37,978 ✭✭✭✭irishbucsfan

No surprise to hear people here think it wasn't a red card.

Nice to see the ref confidently laying down the actual law at not coming out with nonsense about players dipping their heads or "rugby collisions".

Yeah. Ref ran through a checklist and concluded it was a red. Not sure about that, but he was very firm about the high impact being the deciding factor.

    Gilroy in. :)

Ulster need to use the wings now and get more scores.
