Fair play for the charity. If this is under 30 quid, I'll definitely pick up a bottle.

Can I get in on the WhatsApp thing???

Id imagine its rubbish. Nothing on usual outlets about it, just abit of loose talk.

Anyone else think conors approach to Nate 2 mate be useful here. Khabib doesnt check leg kicks he usually tries to shoot when opponent is composing off a leg kick. I see khabib shooting, getting one of those upper cuts eddie got hit with and folding.

I’m more talking about the people saying McGregor only needs one punch. Aside from Aldo he hasn’t KO’d anyone with one punch.

    Buchinger.

He’s had a few before that too. Steve O Keefe springs to mind.

Why is this the go to too shut down people who disagree with band wagoning and nut hugging.

People are free to have their opinions. Nobody should be shut down just because they aren't bandwagoners. and I think the number of regs who are against Conor prove that.

But that doesn't mean every poster should be taken seriously.
Somebody saying they hope to never to hear from Conor again, while at the same time, every post they've made in the forum is about Conor - deserved massive amounts of :rolleyes::rolleyes:

The media are leeches. Fair play to him for calling him out on it.

If people are saying "first punch and it's over", they are clueless or trolling.
Same applies to people saying Khabib instantly takes down and mauls/finishes. The reality is, both have ways to win. Anyone denying that shouldn't be taken too seriously, imo.

But if you are referencing what I said.

I said nothing about a KO. You've seen enough MMA to know that a instant KO isn't the only way one punch can end a fight.

Some TKOs are down to accumulation. Brimage, Silver, Eddie.
But often a single punches drops and dazes somebody and sets up the finish.
A perfect example is Porier, it was a TKO finish. But it was 1 distinct punch that caused it.
He also cleanly KO's Buchinger btw.

To be really clear, because this the the ridiculous thread of McGregor. I'm not suggesting it's a one punch formality for McGregor. I'm saying that can connect once, leading directly to the end. Whereas Khabib's is the path of attrition.
Of course McGregor can also win by attrition also.

Bizarre overreaction by Joanna. The reporter just asked her opinion of Conor's behaviour (presumably referring to the bus incident?). It's a fair question.

People routinely complain about the toothlessness of the MMA media...but when someone asks an uncomfortable question they're a "leech". Conor and his gang of rowdies smashed a bus and injured several people but if you ask a question about his behaviour you're the bad guy. Go figure.

I think you've hit the nail on the head,
Saying one punch to end doesn't mean it has to KO someone, It means one could shot can and normally does change the fight in McGregor's favour, It normal signals the begging of the end,
Eddie is the best example of this after the first big left hand his game plan went out the window and he didn't have a clue where he was, basically from there on he just tried to survive

I think it's gonna be an entertaining card for the most part, not many big names but the main and FS1 prelims look good to me.

The involvement of Ferguson v Pettis has took it from an overall mediocre card to a good card imo.

UFC 230 is epic though compared to 229.

Do you think its an epic card overall?

I dont, Im looking forward to seeing Adesanya Brunson, Dustin and Nate thats it really.

Rest I could do without Rockhold and Weidman a year ago maybe but now not really. Luke hasnt progressed and if anything Weidman has regressed since Silva.

i agree, I thought it was a big over reaction.

he didn't even phrase the question as a hard one

my understanding is that the Russian press were trying to walk a lot of people interviewed into giving the answer they wanted.

Unless you are buying Tesco Value whiskey you won’t get it for 15.

It’s priced at 24.99 USD which is actually cheaper than most branded Irish Whiskey.

I’ll try it myself but I’m not expecting anything out of the ordinary.

Definitely won't be 30e a bottle. My mate can get a good staff discount in the distributor he works for and he said 27e. It's going to be at least 40 retail.

From what I'm reading it's assumed this is 3 year old bushmills. It's very much ordinary, €40 a bottle would be shocking.

I'd have to see the full interview to see if that was the case, but even if it was, a "no comment" would suffice.

The whole calling him up and asking him who he works for and what his ambitions are - that's just a silly ad hominem attack. To me she made a fool of herself...the guy seemed relatively unphased. The whole thing was cringe and unnecessary.
