On a side note, this was released on Spotify today..

Anyone who says or thinks U2 have lost it, I kindly point you to this and say you're wrong.

    It sounds like Coldplay.

As for their cover of Marvin Gaye.....

U2 not a very zesty, earthy group of performers. They struggle with cover versions - always have done. Stick this on the "shouldnt have bothered their barney" pile.

Do love their cover of Everlasting Love tbf. Think that's class

Gotta say that cover is muck :pac: I much prefer the album version of Little Things too. Seems a pointless release!

Prefer this over the album release tbh.

    Still, a great song.

class isn't the word. my fav cover they have ever done.

mind you they did a pretty good job on Satellite also.

And for the time of year that's in it.

Oh yeah, forgot Satellite. That was good.

I did like Paint It Black too. Purely because it was very different to the original

People do think the Earth is flat and that no one has been in space.....

It's pretty much what you do anyways. Now you know what it's like reading your posts

A few pages ago you said anyone who likes U2, who doesn't agree with your thoughts, pisses the bed.

Basically, you're either a troll or a tit.

I've no issue with people not liking something. Is what it is, entitled to their points of view, entitled not to like something, I'm not right or wrong, they're not right or wrong.... You're just looking for attention

What's next? You off to the Coldplay thread to accuse them of sounding like U2? Or Eric Clapton's thread to say he sounds too much like BB King?

You don't want to become stale and mundane, The Nal. Choose your next move carefully. I know you have a great post still left in you.

Do they? Never actually went into that thread tbh.

    I like the band though.

If you like corporate era U2 you'll love them. That thread is full of people who can't sleep with the electric blanket on for fear of electrocution.

Ah unfortunately I don't own an electric blanket so I guess that's me out.

Want to insult me, you're going to have to try harder, pal

Just wondering is anyone else waiting on their SOE cd? So much for pre ordering, it's a bit of a joke at this stage. I messaged them and was told wait til the 20th to message again.

    Yep.

Got an email on the 30th of November, saying it had been dispatched.

    Almost 3 weeks later......

I got mine! Was a week after release, but yeah, thought I'd be waiting til 2020 like you guys.

At least I'm not the only one. They told me to check in my post sorting office, the ironic thing is I'm a postman and I deliver my own post so it just hasn't come, very poor service.

dont know if mine has arrived, kids are hiding whatever comes to give me on christmas day.

ive still resisted to listen to anymore than the 4 tunes.

Has anyone received the free gift of the JT on vinyl yet?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,039 ✭✭✭innuendo141

Having some laugh with Live Nation now a week on about the missing download code. Im not even that bothered, but it's more the principal at this stage. They've recommended I contact the record label... Lads

    Nope, not yet.

I believe they were to start sending them out at the start of December.
Hopefully they arrive soon, very much looking forward to that delivery!

2 Excellent gifts from U2.com in a row, here's hoping for more of the same next year!

If you haven't done so already you need to log on to the site and essentially order it.
