    Ohh nice salary dig

Load of codswallop. I kept working right through the hurricane. It was brilliant, Dublin Airpot to Naas at 4pm in 35 minutes, in the truck and no traffic on the M50 or M7. TBH we could do with weather like that more often

    Not clever.

Does Ray want School Around The Corner back?

Does Ray want School Around The Corner back?

I'd have that. It'd be better than 90% of most of RTE's current programming.

Why are people being adorned for just doing their fvcking jobs these times? It's the weather, you're a weather forecaster.

Forecast the weather and get on with it.

What kind of question is that. Who's the oldest. WTF

Never understood the whole Met Eireann snobbery towards weather readers from other stations when it comes to being qualified meteorologists. Just like TG4 (actual serious eye candy) etc they arent personally researching/writing the reports to be read, merely presenting them.

Might was well post this seeing as we have the weather crew in.

Jaysus, too much going on altogether, jumping from one mad bit to another. What does Ray mean by 'raising awareness' about these charities, will they get money?

This has the potential for a new low not seen since former hurricane Ophelia

Gerry always reminds me a bit of Simon Casey - runner up to Mickey Joe Harte on You're a Star some times ago :D:D

    Hows everyone, tonite
Ray meeting the robot that will take his job.

Ray was on the radio, about being created equally, sorrry ray, not all dj's are created equally either.
After the news about Malcolm Young, don't think I'm in the mood for this tonight :(

You mean, to say You're Not Going To Stay Up All Nite Long:D
She will probably give away the entire storyline of her and Daniels house that will be on Room To Improve.

It's actually a lot smaller than the previous house he had, like his budget
They've tried to make her look younger and done the opposite.

    Windswept

We really are obsessed with the weather aren't we? Not taking away from the seriousness and the fact that people lost their lives or anything, but bloody hell a Saturday night show talking about the weather.

My washing wasn't dried today on the line:o
What's your favourite weather related song?

Definitely not Bewitched or Rihanna's rain inducing song

Btw Where's Ol Donie, isn't that his fave weatherwoman on beside Joanna?

Also where is everyone? must be watching fight,
    Hard luck to Conlan:(

    Not clever.

Well two things, 1 the weather in that part of the country was not at all bad. Im 34 years on the road and ive seen plenty worse weather that what we got that day, 2 when you work for yourself, you just have to get on with it. I know the weather was bad in some places, but we live out in the countryside and we had far worse storms several times last winter

Except the majority on RTE are meteorologists.

Don't understand snobbery all the same.

Yes not sure what happened his leg in the first round, he was lucky the ref didn't stop it around the 3rd round, he gave him a good chance to be fair.

That is my point, Met Eireann provide services/meteorologists for RTE weather forecasts. I just remember massive resistance from them when rte tried to introduce younger, "untrained" readers years ago.

You do realise weather forecasting is forecasting. It's based on models...it won't always be 100% precise for every location.

So just be glad that you didn't suffer the brunt of the storm but know that the Red warning likely saved lives.
