well done to them today lovely little place great football team and really look the part going forward as a kilmihil man i can only say i am impressed , the kerry team that faces them will have their hands full in two weeks time

its only when you have to drive down to places like kilnamartyra you realise what a monster of a county cork is , puts the munster final location debacle to shame

can someone shine a light on why daniel dineen didnt feature for cork this year , he had some game today

Great win for Castlelyons in the Intermediate semi, won by 4 points after ET.

Sars into the Senior Camogie final with a 1 point win.

And St. Catherines into the Junior hurling final with a fine win, 2-17 v 0-11 having being a point up at ht.

Is it true that Sars and Glanmires next games are the same weekend? Would they have many playing both?

Remarkable that 2 small neighboring parishes will be representing Cork in Munster finals on the same weekend

Not sure if the Camogie is fixed yet, the footballers are over in Ruislip next Saturday.

Don't think there's too many on both, not sure though.

Fantastic win for Kilmurry, into the Munster Junior Football final with a ridiculously comprehensive win, 4-16 v 0-02

Glanmire ladies into the All Ireland Intermediate football semi final after a win in London, 2-05 v 0-09

    Haven won 1-16 to 1-7

Sarsfields win 2-11 to 2-7. Great weekend for them

Great win for Cill na Matra too v Milltown Castlemaine in the Munster Intermediate Championship. 0-13 points to 0-10 against a very strong Milltown/Castlemaine team. This will give them massive confidence going forward.

John Evans took over that gig this year and has used his many years of experience to perfection

Good start to the weekend, St. Catherine's are Munster Junior Hurling champions, winning 2-14 v 1-15.

Also the ladies from the West, O'Donovan Rossa, had a convincing All Ireland semi final win on a scoreline of 2=12 v 0-06

No joy for Sars in their camogie All Ireland semi final, losing 1-06 v 2-10 to Sarsfields of Galway. Close all the way through, conceeding 1-01 in last 10.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,214 ✭✭✭✭callaway92

In fairness the scoreline was fair. Sars of Galway missed an absolute heap of chances in the 1st half, so it evened out in the 2nd half. Sars Cork slow in defence

Heard that, they did well to stay within a few points until the last 10.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,214 ✭✭✭✭callaway92

    Agreed

In terms of the clichéd ‘they’ll be back’ saying - I wouldn’t be 100% sure on it, but they’re clearly a top two club in Cork (in my eyes with St Finbarrs even though Cloughduv beat them this year).

Barrs with a fully fit team would give Sars a great match.

Glanmire ladies are into the All Ireland Intermediate final !!

They came from 0-02 v 0-04 down at ht to win on a scoreline of 1-07 v 0-06

Anyone with poor internet shafted by GAA GO. Cork v Tipp only Munster hurling game on RTE.

If we beat Limerick in the football, then the game v Kerry online only too

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,592 ✭✭✭Shedite27

But we can still go to games and listen on the radio right? Like in the olden days (checks notes), 4 years ago?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,310 ✭✭✭Billy Ocean

Big difference is 4 years ago Sky got 1 Munster hurling game, GAAGO had 5 this year and 4 next year, conveniently RTE a 50% stakeholder.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,463 ✭✭✭Cork2021

And convenience was that RTE didn’t pick a huge game like Cork v Limerick that’s on Saturday evening in a more then likely sold out PUC! Rte know exactly what they’re doing!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,333 ✭✭✭lukin

I am not actually against pay-per-view but I strongly believe elderly people who don't know anything about streaming should be able to watch the games that are on GAAGO.

They shouldn't have to pay for it either. A good idea would be for people who have GAAGO to offer to bring one or more elderly people in their locality to their house to watch the GAAGO games.

I'd do it if I was asked.

It's a bit shite alright but arguably the worst game of the four based on form will be the Waterford match away - there's no way I'm missing any of the last three. I'll probably be at all four to be honest.

Getting tickets for the Waterford game might be a bit tricky.

Cork won both games at the Teddy Mac Tribute games.

    In the football,

    Cork 3-12 Meath 1-9

    And Hurling,

    Cork 4-22 Galway 0-24
