Israel will whopp Iran if they wanted to. Far superior armed forces and weapons.

This isnt Iraq were talking about. Any attack on Iran will lead to massive casualties in Israel and on mainland America where the Iranians have plenty of nationals that will want to exact revenge. There will be marshall law in Los Angelos within days if they strike Iran.

israel could take on any force and win as israel going to war means always having uncle sam at their back

many believe iran , iraq , syria , all this space will be part of israel one day , with the usa making it happen of course

never underestimate how powerful israel is , it has the wealthiest diaspora of any nation on earth by a country mile

Very true the Israeli's have well and truely infiltrated Congress. Think Benjamin Netanyahoo got something like 34 standing ovations when he made his speech there a few years back. Sickening to watch.

Iran will struggle against isreal in a conventional war ,
Syria are a spent force military and russia has limited forces who are doing the fighting in Syria ,
Isreal has repeatedly shown they will take on multiple combined larger forces and win decisively ,
Then factor in what america will do along with Saudi and a few others who want iran dealth with

In some of those wars if it wasn't for American backing they would have lost. Despite Russia's alliance with Syria they privately give their approval for Israel to carry out attacks inside Syria provided no Russian are caught up in it. Russia and Israel have good relations. Russia won't go to war with Israel. Bibi is likely stoking the fire to deflect from his problems domestically.

Nothing to do with Religion. Its more to do with Israels human rights record. They have more UNresolutions than every other member combined.

But why would they need to make a Terrorist organisation look bad ,like read that part back out loud they hired a PR firm to make a Terrorist organisation look bad ,

Which makes it more likely that Israel would go to war and take out Iran ,
And who will they call first when they go after Iran ,
    Uncle Donald or valdi

From what? The last "distraction" in NK?

from Russia controversy, Charlottesville controversy, low opinion poll ratings, lack of support for his agenda in Congress (even from his own political party, the Republicans).... etc. etc.

I agree with you in saying that the North Korean spat was not a distraction (it was for real imho)

well israel do get resolutions thrown at them by fairly dubious arab nations , its like shooting fish in a barrell and diverts attention from other things on the arab street

Are you for real? Its actually the polar opposite. Its the U.S and a handful of other tiny nations that veto any sanctions been brought against Israel :pac:

    probably both imho
Iran is a big energy exporter and so an economic competitor with Russia (and arguably the US).

I'm not too up to date on politics and what not but I do know America pays Israel billions of dollars every year. Anyone know why that is?

I reckon the Irish should start asking for a few quid as well.

    Ireland: Show me the money.

    America: No

Ireland: What! Your giving it to Israel you tight bastards.

Iran awaits more crude oil cargoes to officially resume Caspian oil swap deal soon

    Tehran (Platts)--21 Aug 2017 933 am EDT/1333 GMT

Iran is set to receive another nine crude oil cargoes as part of a Caspian oil swap deal which is due to officially resume soon, and could also start its planned oil-for-goods deal with Russia by early October, government officials said on Saturday.

recently, several more countries have agreed to participate in swapping goods for oil with Iran, including Russia. This could lead to contagion and result in a dollar crash and the possible end of the petro-dollar.

Already, people in Venezuela have turned to the Bitcoin because of hyperinflation.

Its not a movie lads. Countries dont really attack each other anymore. The world is too small. Its all posturing. Destabalisation of unfavored regimes and economic attacks are how the world works nowadays.

Israel won't go to war with Iran. America and Russia won't allow either side to. America have their hands full with a resurgent Taliban and the remnants of ISIS in Syria and Iraq. They and Russia are also going to have to face up to the situation that has now developed in Ildlib sooner or later. A situation whereby al qaeda, or whatever they call themselves these days, is now the main power in the province.

While Israel, even on its own, could defeat Iran in a conventional war they would pay a high price in the process. Iran has hundreds of thousand irregulars/militias members, who are battle hardened to call on, as well another 2-3 hundred thousand conventional troops, and likely thousands of citizens willing to be martyrs too. Israel's missile defense systems won't stop thousands of their own citizens being killed in a war. This is without factoring in the devastating wider consequences. With this in mind I highly doubt Bibi is daft enough to start a war with Iran. Despite all the propaganda to the contrary, Iran's leaders don't relish the prospect of war with Israel either. They don't have a history of starting wars with other countries too. They would behind the scenes cave in via pressure from Russia- if war was a real prospect, while publicly making loud noises to the contrary

What Iran will do is continue to support proxies in the region, as will other outside actors.

Non-story. For the foreseeable future anyway.

The US sending just 4 folks to Afg is slightly funny, sure they had 100k boots there at one stage, decades later and it's still the same wild east.

Who said conspiracy? Is Pipelinestan a fiction or a fact?

I agree with your resource control point, obviously. Pipelines are strategic....

You wrong as usual. This got leaked, this was not announced. The Pentagon excuse after the leak they made those videos to track people who watch them, pure bull****.. There is plenty of legit terrorist videos online to track people. This was the Pentagon promoting fear and terror online. The got a big army they need a enemy to justify the big budget.
