The likes of Ashley Young, Moses & Giroud aren't exactly the missing pieces in that squad if they are brought in. They need more quality in it, not cheap cast offs from the premier league.

Juve are the masters of picking up the ageing talents free or on the cheap and wringing another year or two out of them when needed so not surprised to see Conte doing this, it’s more the inconsistency that kills you as a fan, meanwhile the Juve machine keeps churning out the wins.

Other than Pirlo & Alves none of their bosman's were old. The likes of Rabiot, Ramsey, Can, Llorente, Pogba, Coman & Khedira weren't aging when they signed. But some of them were shrewder signings than others.
In 2020 Young, Moses & Giroud is scraping the barrel in terms of quality for a side with league title ambitions & want to perform well at Champions League level in the future. Juve I don't think would make those signings now.

I was indeed thinking Alves, Evra (32 or 33), Matuidi (wasn't anywhere near as old as I thought at 28!) Canavarro's 2nd stint (35?), Buffon (78) but yeah they do tend to have a very decent hit rate.

That might be Serie A's goal of the season wrapped up.

Torino were slaughtered in the end. 7-0 it finished. Ilicic hat-trick as Torino ended with 9 men. Highlights will be worth a watch later that's for sure.

Atalanta well on course to be top goalscorers in Serie A for the 2nd season in a row, saw them in the flesh earlier in the season they're a joy to watch apart from their defence

Atalanta are the best team to watch in Serie A. Ilicic Gomez and Zapata are fantastic together. Fancy them to get to the quarter finals of the champions league. Torino's defence after being so solid last season isn't up to much these days.

Inter will lose even more ground later when Juve beat the hopeless Napoli.
Ironic that one of the players that Conte insisted on leaving, Nainggolan came back to haunt him.
Terrible result against a team so bad even Milan beat them.

Napoli sacking Ancelotti the most stupid footballing decision of the season?

No, they were sh*t when he was there too & went backwards as a team in his time there. Their big achievement under Carlo was getting 4 points from Liverpool but they still managed to finish 2nd in the group. Serie A isn't a strong league but they find themselves 14 points off a CL spot, he has to shoulder some blame for that. He washed up at Everton for a reason.

I think I blame de laurentis for putting players on a pedastil. They start not to follow their coach

The dropped points of Inter today are a blow. A Juve win later will make them very tough to catch.

100 per cent. They weren't playing badly in the games in which they dropped points. They lacked a few breaks and missed some big players. Just needed to show a bit of patience and he would have turned it around, but they gave him the heave ho and replaced him with a coach nowhere near his level. Will be regarded as an even bigger act of idiocy as time goes by.

    Get in Napoli.

I did not see this result coming at all. Great for the league now

Title race was looking a cooked goose with Lazio drawing too. Much needed win for Gattuso, the best in his tenure so far. Hope Juve end up looking at this weekend as a chance squandered.

Saw highlights of Samp's goalless draw with Sassuolo and Ranieri's men couldn't win even with a man advantage. They've tricky fixtures on the way too.

Saw the Napoli/Juve game last night. Napoli are a very different team than they were under Sarri and Ancelotti to an extent. Far more defensive, very tight between the lines but they did counter well enough and the switches of play undid Juventus. Also can't say I'm impressed with Juventus, for a top club they look a bit pedestrian and, in his 2nd season, Sarri still hasn't gotten them playing the flowing football his Napoli side were known for.

They've lost 5 of 7 in the league since Gattuso took over and dropped 6 places.

Cracking win last night though and well deserved.

Also Ronaldo is about to turn 35 and has already equaled his goal tally from last season in a comps. 31 so far.

He has 20 goals in all comps. He got 28 last year

He has scored 11 goals for Portugal this season.

It's his first season but they haven't been particularly impressive outside of the Inter game.
De Ligt is still not playing at his expected level(he wouldn't be as struggling as much beside Chiellini imo), Szczensy made a mistake that he will always capable of & I don't think a club targeting Champions League should be starting Higuain in 2020. Their midfield is still not in place 6 months into the season. Are Rabiot, Ramsey & Mathuidi regular starters now. Who is the right back??
They'll be fine in Serie A as Inter keep dropping handy points but playing in the latter stages they need to be a lot more consistent.

My mind has gone numb (possibly from watching too much of Sarri's football at Chelsea last season). I can't believe Higuain is back in favour given how forgettable his time at Chelsea was and that, when he isn't scoring, he offers nothing else to the team. Bentacour and Pjanic seem to find a way into the midfield a lot too. I'd be shocked if they win the CL, they look so far off the standard.

Yeah there playing some truly awful sides though.

His form recently for Juve has been superb.

Milan making very hard work of getting past Torino who lost by just the 7 on Saturday.
When Cahlanoglu is saving your ass you know things are dark.

It's been a very exciting extra time and well deserved by Ac Milan

Hopefully Fiorentina win tonight but just can't see it. The football under Iachini has been boring although he has steadied the ship a bit. Inter should win handy tonight if they put out a strong side. Napoli awaits the winner. Most likely we will have an inter vs Juve final but you never know!

    Roma getting the hat tonight

    Roma getting the hat tonight

Sending Florenzi to Valencia on loan & playing Santon (of 2011 fame) at right back is just fitting for them, they dug up 2015's Bruno Peres now to play there.

    They have been awful
