And that's exactly what the others would say. It's true. Terry Jones was a very talented guy, who sadly contracted a form of dementia in recent years. While he did play many parts in his time with Monty Python and directed most of their feature films, I always think first of him dressed up as a woman: "Go Away"!

Just watched Michael Palin on BBC news just break down when asked what he'd miss:

Putting his arm around him, trips to the bar and putting the world to rights.

Michael and Terry met in Oxford College. As well as performing together over the years, they worked together as a specific script-writing team for the Monty Python tv series. But, most of all, they became life-long friends.

For those of you who remember Cagney and Lacey, the actor John Karlen has died at the age of 86. He played Harvey Lacy and appeared in every episode bar 2. He also had parts in practically every major american tv show of the 70s and 80s including Hill Street Blues, Kojak, Fame, Lou Grant and Quincy to name but a few.
