The kids are now playing Fortnite on the shield instead of trying to take over my Xbox. Fantastic.

How are the games going for everyone
I tried batman for the small fella and it was telling me my Ethernet connection wasn’t good enough which is strange as I have 80mbs connection

I got one of these for my Birthday from my wife. I had a bare skim through this thread and my head has literally melted. I had a quick google about sideloading some apps and then my head exploded.

When you log into the Shield TV it wouldn't be immediately clear that some of the things are possible. I cant find chrome on it for example even though i used the voice control to install it.

What am i missing? Also is there anything else i need to be doing to get the max out of this thing? It seems like homers version of the magical animal (if anyone gets the joke)

Emby app and a nice person that share their library for a small fee
    That’s it for me really

Anyone else looking I have posted a link on my profile visitor message to save the pms
Hello. I found this thread a while ago on goodle while looking for help setting up the retrox application to play some of my favourite arcade stuff from back in the day. saw your post as well and i got the link from your profile to see what iptv was all about and wanted to say thanks for recommending it. I sent an email to the bloke and he helped me with setting up stbemu and i bought it for 6 months after the free test was excellent. it has celtic tv as well which has all the games live. cant believe my luck to have found such a thing i didn't even know existed before! long story short i got rid of the subscription i was paying a certain company 95 euro a month for! thanks again.
I tried to private message this to you but it wont let me probably because this is a new account or something.

Call round to mine and take a look ;)
Side loading APK's is grand but you might need to use the app drawer or a sideloading "viewer" to open them.

Are you using a smart dns or vpn ? If so did you restart the amazon app completely so you have to sign in again ?

No smart dns or vpn. I've restarted the box fully....How do I restart the amazon app completely so you have to sign in again?

Have you tried Private Internet Access (PIA)? I've used that in the past and always found it very good.

One thing to note though, a lot of VPN's can "slow down" your internet speed, so you might need to be getting decent speeds in order to use one....

I see this is coming up on prime day in the US for 139 dollars. That's an unreal price. I wonder if it'll drop on the UK amazon? If I didn't already have one I'd be checking out address pal etc. to bring one in. Best bit of kit I own

How much would address pal charge from the states with customs charge on top ?

Just checked €16 for the delivery plus customs

Customs fees already paid when you buy from Amazon.

So if you buy from American amazon to be delivered to address pal in the states and then shipped to Ireland you don’t pay any customs charge with address pal ???

    Snippet from addresspal
Customs have a statutory right to examine all parcels coming from outside the EU. It is the Revenue Commissioners who raise these charges and An Post collect them on their behalf.

A fee of 1% of the value, with a minimum charge of €10 per packet and parcel, is charged by An Post for customs clearance of parcels imported from countries outside the European Union. This fee is in addition to any duty or VAT payable. Items coming from destinations outside the EU may be subject to delay due to customs examination.

No, delivered directly to Ireland the customs are calculated at checkout and included in the price is what they're saying.

Using U.S P.W is obviously a different story.

But that is what we are talking about as it’s the cheaper option
If you buy from amazon us shipping to Ireland and import fees are $61.20 which is madness

There looks to be much of a muchness in price.
As MiskyBoyy said, direct to Ireland is already worked out at checkout.

    Using AddressPal would be
    €119 + €16 = €135 + VAT (23%) = €166.05 + minimum charge of 1% + €10 = Roughly €178 Total.

Although I am not 100% on that, as I haven't used AP for anything from America before.

According to Amazon, for that item Global shipping is $12.58 (€10.75)

    So it should be around
    €119 + €10.75 = €129.75 + VAT (23%) + An Post €12 = Roughly €171.59 Total

It's only $61.20 at current price + shipping and without Prime. I don't know if global shipping price changes with prime.

Getflix, they have a 2 weeks trial
If you check bargain alerts, johnnydogs posted a deal for their service
I’m with them since last year and it’s a good service
    Uk players working
Us amazon and Netflix works too
