Yep. and not only that, she won 2 games against men, it was in the uk open back in mid 2000s....remember watching it.

Most people think (wrongly) it was anastasia dobromyslova beating Vvd Voort.

another thing most people dont know is, Deta hedman is not the first member of her family to play in the PDC world championships either.

no , her ex boyfriend of Colin Lloyd does not count.

Really enjoyable first game there between Scott Marsh & Jason Lowe. Won't pretend to know much about either player, but surprised at the standard.

Some incredible finishes by Lowe: 117, 124, 121.

Lowe plays Aspinall tomorrow. One to look forward to.

    smith throwing some darts here

    14 darter, 13 darter, 12 darter, 11 darter, 10 darter, led 5-1

    112.86 average.........

had he hit the double first dart in the last leg would have had the record at the venue.

he had one sh1t leg, otherwise it would have been far higher.

jeez, anyone see Jamie Lewis' match
Really feel for the guy, his game looks like it's completely gone, almost like a darts version of the yips
Averaged less than 60 and never had a shot at a double
as a matter of fact not sure he got much below 200 in any leg
Far cry from the worlds semi final a few years ago

57.72 average....the lowest ever average on the euro tour by a tourcard holder.

Amazing all the people of forums elsewhere using this to have a snide dig at the PDC ignored that the "women" had averages 20 points less in some cases.
One woman this week actually won a match with an average in the 30s

Jamie Lewis has been throwing muck for a while, not sure if it is confidence, yips, so called dartitis etc, but back near the end of 2019 he averaged 48.4 in players championships 18.

As said its been going on a while. shame seems a decent lad.

I do think he got further than most expected, but he beat Peter Wright over the best of 7 sets 4-1, when Wright averaged 103.
You dont fluke a 107 average over 5 sets as that is what Lewis averaged.

He had almost a 100 average when he beat Clayton 3-0 in sets, Nothing lucky in those performances

you could argue Webster and richardson were poor opposition, but he battered them with ease.

He is still only 28, over 20 years younger than durrant so he has time on his side.

    that I can believe.
How many times over the years have we seen a player have a good week and then do nothing ever again.

Be it paul nicholson winning a players champs final, the likes of webster, kist , klaasen etc and a slew of bdo tin pot winners.

In the end consistency is what makes a great player.

you can add people like wade who bar a few weeks, has been in the pdc top 10 for almost 13 years.
Players like Steve Beaton who has been consistent for over quarter of a century.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,543 ✭✭✭bassy

never liked wade always came across as a ignorant c*nt,been yrs since he won anything of note and will never win a major again.
i have great respect for the adonis 20 odd matchplay appearances year out year in,a gem of a man and a fine silky smooth thrower on he,s day.comes across as a very nice man win or lose the same cannot be said for the head that is wade.
