Looks like Keanu was added in the last few days. It's a good laugh, sort of a spoof of John Wick.

Goodfellas added today. I was actually just looking for that yesterday. I was watching the Fried Chicken episode of Community on All4 last night with my daughter and I was telling her how it was all a spoof of Goodfellas.

I will be setting aside time to watch it, what a movie. This is probably roll out for The Irishman and all Martins films will appear hopefully

Watched "Isn't it Romantic" last night with Mrs Sleepy and was pleasantly surprised by it. Some genuine laugh out loud moments and a nice riff on the Rom Com genre.

I saw the trailer for that and it looked amusing enough tbh, I'm kind of a sucker for those throwaway high concept comedies if they're done reasonably well though.

Peaky Blinders season 4 was the best season yet. Whenever next bug Hollywood movie about Americans/Italian gangsters is made they should cast Adrien Brody as the villain. He was genius in PB.

"Amusing enough" is a fair description. It rips the piss out of all those PG rom-coms you've had to sit through with your mother/sister/girlfriends/spouse over the years.

I thought his accent was bloody awful in it.

Yeh me too, i was actually shocked by it haha, id go as far as to say that he was the worst thing in the entire run of peaky blinders for me.

i thought it was the worst but still good, the mafia types were cartoonish and
thomas shelby had a plan for everything

I liked the character and purpose, but doing a really bad impersonation of the godfathers accent was not great.

    Goodfellas

Watched Heat a few weeks ago via the American library. De Niro was at his best during that period, Casino was another film that will go down as a classic.

Finished Umbrella Academy last night and it was excellent. Was a bit dubious initially but was very pleasantly surprised. Looking forward to where they go with season 2.

It must just be me that doesn't like Umbrella Academy. Gave up after 2 episodes.

Just watched it, granted a few Friday drinks involved, but I really enjoyed it.

Then again I'm a sucker for anything with Adam Devine. Rebel Wilson is gas too.

Just watched The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. An absolute gem. Lots of short stories, each one brilliant in their own right with a distinctly Coen brothers aesthetic and eye for the quirks of fate. Beautifully shot too, especially the Tom Waits story.

    Weapon of Choice
Speaking to retailers and owners of the Glock pistol, two filmmakers shed light on the politics of violence and its implications from Chicago to Kirkuk.

I enjoyed them too, I'd have liked
if at least one more had a positive ending
, but I'm probably getting over sentimental in my old age.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

Happy Valley is class, also Charlie Murphy (Siobhan from Love Hate) is very good in it. Was talk of a 3rd series but looks unlikely. Would recommend.

Sarah Lancashire was on the radio with Graham Norton this morning and she said they were still planing on doing more Happy Valley. She said they were going back to Last Tango in Halifax first though so still some wait on S3.
