Just finishing season 4 of Person of Interest. Excellent Show. Does anyone know when the final Season 5 will be added?

Watched James Acaster Repertoire. Its pretty good. Full of completely random topics in typical Acaster style that he some how turns into hilarious comedy material

Re: Acaster, I've watched the first two installments, and yeah, it's good. His routines are very well crafted!

Yep, I loved it.. some footage I've seen before but brilliant moments including:

    - Kettering Town FC Song
    - Do and Don't of Passport Photos
    - Bread Survey

He's a top-notch comedian.. often strange but always compelling.

I did have that song stuck in my head for a while afterwards

Apocalypse Now and Come and See would be my two favourite movies about war. Come and See not as well known as most but it really does pack a punch. Everything about it just works perfect. Well worth a Watch if you haven't seen... in my Top 10 for sure.

    Is it on Netflix??

God’s Own Country has been added: film about a romance between a farm worker and the migrant worker who comes to help out on the Yorkshire land. It’s in some ways the anti Call Me By Your Name - the landscape harsh, the visuals muted, the characters struggling to make a living. But the storytelling matches the landscape - bleak at times and unforgiving, but ultimately kind of beautiful.

Watched The Defiant Ones and Wild Wild Country (first 5) over the last few days.

The Defiant Ones is excellent. Never heard of Jimmy before but he's had some life. Wild Wild Country is a great watch too

I watched "Prisoners" today starring the aforementioned J Gyllenhaal.
    Anyone watched it?

I'll probably re-watch it next weekend; it's one of those movies that has many layers, where you need to know the story so that you can pay attention to the story-telling.

We watched "What Happened to Monday" last night. It's a quite predictable but fun dystopian sci-fi actioner that'll probably appeal to those who liked Gattica or Equilibrium. Open a bottle of wine and get the popcorn out. :)

Watched this on Sunday night. Enjoyable movie, good pace to it although it could probably do with being trimmed back 15mins or so. (Its hard to make that bottle of wine last 2 hours!)

In same boat as you, a touch predictable, but also it was reassuring that I didn't need to overly engage with it and could just go with it.

Realised while watching it that I have never got around to watching the girl with the dragon tattoo, which is on Netflix, so will mark that one down for the next night that we both get to sit down for a movie.

Ah yeah... I saw that ages ago- Domhnall Gleeson and whatshisname? Bill Nighy is it?
That's a nice, sweet film..and can watch with older children.

Domhnall Gleeson is developing a bit of a wide-ranging career isn't he?
Ex machina (dark), Star Wars etc.
    Fair play.

Saw him in Peter Rabbit too last week. He's everywhere these days.

He's the best actor working today IMO. His range is phenomenal but some of his choices have let him down (Prince of Persia, Southpaw and Everest to name a few). I think if he had planned his career better he'd be the biggest actor today.

ok... glad I havent seen those.
Tobey Maguire certainly outshone him in 'Brothers' but I haven't seen him ( Tobey) in much since.

Prisoners and The Defiant Ones is next on my list then.

I haven't mentioned WWC , as there is too much to say, but I Loved the soundtrack.
I thought the choice of music perfectly matched the scenes and content of the doco. I had not heard of Damian Jurado before, but his tracks 'AM.AM'. and 'Cloudy Shoes' are awesome.

Finished Wild Wild Country last night and thought it was fantastic well made series, Sheela kid of grew on my as the series went on and it’s good that she still helps people today.
Soundtrack is great actually if you have Spotify there are a couple of playlists with the soundtrack up there just search for Wild Wild Country.

I've sort of given up on Dark. I think I'm in the minority but I can't put my finger on why it's not drawing me in. I stopped it last night mid-way through episode 3. Could well be the dubbing but I don't reckon so, even subtitled I reckon I'm just not too interested.

Watched The Secret in Their Eyes instead. Really enjoyed it though no surprises as I'd watched the original (subtitled) a couple of years ago.

No idea what's on the menu tonight!

Came across a facebook post earlier entitled '30 Hidden Gems on Netflix'. Basically movies many people overlook based on how they look. A bit like don't judge a book by the cover. Here they are:

    Bernie
    The Square
    War on Everyone
    Goon
    Boogie Nights
    Donnie Darko
    Nymphomaniac
    Bright Star
    Little Sister
    Super Dark Times
    The Good Son
    The Babysitter
    Adventures in Babysitting
I Am Not A Seriel Killer
    Gimme The Loot
    Drinking Buddies
    Cold In July
    Jiro Dreams Of Sushi
    Vernon Florida
    Finders Keepers
    Paddington
    Pete's Dragon
    Sing Street
    A Serious Man
    The Invitation
    Half Nelson
    8 Mile
    The Immigrant
    Meek's Cutoff
    Michael Clayton

Think that's US Netflix. Although some of them are on Irish one too.

^ There's an awful lot of movies there that deserve to stay hidden! :)

If 'The Good Son' is that horror movie that finished Macauley Culkin's career, it's an absolute stinker!

Some good ones there though.. everyone should see 'Donnie Darko'.

Is that the one about the dinner party, and the meteor shower? If it is, it's fantastic!
