Gay times and attitude both gay mags aren't porn

    They're very tasteful!

Seriously though they're not porn, don't think there's even a single fully naked guy in them

They deal with social, lifestyle health etc issues predominantly in a tasteful way
Maybe check one out next time you see one on sale

Never said they are porn but I am pretty sure there are pictures of men in there for ogling.

in a shop like Eason's there will be near a thousand magazines of which three to five will be targeted towards the LGBTQ community. So, Yes, straight men are being targeted for extermination.

Yup, straight men are going to be exterminated via a lack of porn magazines aimed at men.

Frankly it's astonishing and proof of our virility that we made it thousands of years before the sneaky gheys came along and destroyed our porn.

Is it because feminists are not so worried about the objectification of men?

Feminists don't influence the stock ordering inside shops. They do however seem to influence a fair bit of your thinking.

Where do lesbians fit into the equation? If here are no lesbian magazines goes that mean lesbianism is being actively discouraged by D'feminsts too?

So your gripe with the relative lack of straight male porn mags or straight male gossip mags like FHM etc?

And Playboy stopped publishing nudes about a year ago. We'll see if all those "I only read it for the articles" types will keep it in circulation

They are apparently going back to boobies this month but good like finding someone who ****ing stocks it.

When I was a young lad you have penthouse and playboy and perfect 10. Now they have been replaced with gay magazines.

Discouraged by the cuckolded society we live in. Overweight hairy 3rd wave feminists complain because of a pretty girl on the cover of a magazine being objectified when really they are jealous. Meanwhile, gay rights are being pushed and no one would dare apply the same rules.

What's wrong with a pretty boy on the cover to help sell copies
Every kind of magazine puts effort into their front cover

I'm not aware of a concerted effort by hairy feminists to alter the cover of magazines that portray women in a particular way

It is all objectifying of course but that's the industry and the society we live in

Yes. It is now discouraged to be a heterosexual male. Please report to your nearest gay/feminist station for ritual deballing and (gay or feminist) porn mag of choice.

However (post-deballing), protections for the straight male minority will enter into law; from now on, all images/videos of "lesbians" kissing in heterosexual magazines will be banned.

(Or it may be down to that men don't seem to be reading male magazines as much anymore; http://wwd.com/business-news/media/mens-magazine-market-upheaval-readers-decline-10336957/ but young gay men (and presumably women) that can't risk looking for gay porn/advice columns online still buy them. The simplest explanation is generally the right one.)

They influence people's perception of what is acceptable and was isn't in society.

stefanovich, you are wasting your time trying to debate this stuff on boards.ie. If you don't agree with the left agenda apparently you are either a tinfoil hat nutter or a racist sexist hate monger. To be honest, this place is gone to shit

Seems less and less shops stock men's magazines like Esquire, FHM loaded or Playboy but they all seem to have at least 3 gay magazines.

Is it gotten to the point where being a heterosexual male is being actively discouraged?
    Yes, definitely.

I briefly glimpsed a gay magazine cover in a shop once, now I have a penis inside me.

Now they've been replaced by online porn. Seriously, FHM, esquire and the like had nothing you couldn't get online for free. Did you really buy the mags for the articles and fashion advice?

Could you tell us where these shops are? I don't want to catch the gay anytime soon.

Oh I see. And do these thoughts occur to you often? Do they come from inside your head or do you get them from inanimate objects?

Seriously though, is 'the cuckolded society we live in' the new hipster expression for The Man? The Man is presumably an overweight hairy woman now of course.

You sound oppressed by all this somehow, u ok Hun?

I thought some of those lad mags had gone under due to lack of sales or were online only. Publishing is a tough business, lots of magazines don't last because people don't buy them. I think pre internet those publications did well because they appealed to a certain market, now that market gets what it wants online. Gay magazines have plenty of eye candy but also have actual proper decent articles rather than just filler.

So you are making a stand here, complaining about a pretty boy on the cover of a magazine being objectified? Are you an overweight hairy 3rd wave "masculist" - possibly jealous? Regardless, thanks for saving society from itself.

Perhaps this is the right explanation.

My original post was an observation that all the pretty women on the top shelf have been replaced by men and I was wondering why....

While I have very little sympathy for op's problems I find it staggering that people wouldn't know there was/is campaign to get lad's mags of the shelves. An example.

Newsagents will respond to demand, nothing more nothing less. If nobody buys playboy etc anymore, that is why its no longer stocked. There is no great conspiracy here to breed out straight men
Apart from the fact that magazines will have no impact whatsoever on rates of homosexuality in the population
    You can sleep easy now

Let's be honest, some opinions are worth belittling.

This isn't his first thread on similar topics, but I simply cannot take anyone seriously when they believe that a lack of straight mens porn magazines in his local store is the result of a "cuckolded" "feminist driven" society, when what's far more bloody likely is that medium is dying quickly due to the advent of the bloody internet.
