Gay magazines in shops

Seems less and less shops stock men's magazines like Esquire, FHM loaded or Playboy but they all seem to have at least 3 gay magazines.

Is it gotten to the point where being a heterosexual male is being actively discouraged?

Lol. I'm actually genuinely surprised those magazines still exist. Who pays for porn nowadays?

Yes because you can actively encourage a persons sexuality, it is the one aspect they have choice over😊

I'd say that if you could wave a magic wand and make all men happily gay then they probably have a happier all round life .

Wouldn't have to pay much attention to feminism etc ,etc ,etc ,

Universal homosexuality for men would probably be a good thing for men .

I don't think that's what he means. If a shop sells magazines that may be of interest to the gay community then why wouldn't the shop sell magazines that may be of interest to the straight community?

Exactly. It's only impressionable teenagers who go for top shelf magazines anyway, and if their first sexual encounter is going to be pics from a gay magazine, thats it! Gay for life. Its pretty sinister if you ask me.

I nearly thanked this and then realised when I saw you had thanked the OP that you may actually be serious.

Because there's no demand for them? Shops generally stock items that will sell.

in a shop like Eason's there will be near a thousand magazines of which three to five will be targeted towards the LGBTQ community. So, Yes, straight men are being targeted for extermination.

Some magazines have free CDs or video games but they're only sample tasters. In order to get the full album or game you have to have at least three gay experiences.

I'm heterosexual, OP, and I can buy any magazine I want to buy. Just ask and shops that sell magazines will order what you want .

You can get them to place your magazine in the 'Proud Heterosexual ' section.

What gay magazines are available? Is this the fitness magazines, with buff good looking guys on the cover?*

Or are you talking about something explicitly for gay men?

*Yes, I know how gay that reads. :pac:

FHM and NUTS are gone but Esquire is going strong. If I wanted it I'd ask my newsagent to get it for me.

Just to play along with your delusion for a minute. Being a heterosexual male is being actively discouraged by whom? 'The Man' presumably. Has 'The Man' turned gay?

To answer your question seriously, being a heterosexual male isn't being actively discouraged in all men, just you.

Ha ha shops have no agenda they stock things that sell. fhm maxim playboy sold for boobies it was never about the articles now there are boobies everywhere for free on the internet. If gay times sells its because some people are actually interested in the articles. spar is not trying to do anything but make money seriously OP who exactly do you think is behind this active discouragement of the straight lifestyle ?

You're not really allowed to criticize objectifying men. Objectifying women is completely out of order though. That's why magazines objectifying men are fine but doing the same for women is wrong. Another example would be the diet coke ads vs hunky dory ad

Yes i think he means gay magazines ie mags directed at the gays, but i think that's what you mean

    Attitude
    Gay times

My local supermarket used to stock gay times but has since stopped
So the market isn't there maybe

    Grindr tells me otherwise

What articles in a gay magazine would make them sell i mean i cant understand that? I take it was the same as the now gone straight mags just the pictures :P

GQ and Esquire are certainly not porn. Playboy doesn't even do nude pictures anymore.

Exactly. Somehow it seems it is not politically correct to encourage men's interest in women but somehow top shelf gay magazines are everywhere.

I've never looked at one but they usually have a picture of a scantily clad man on the front so I am probably not far off my assumption that they have more of the same inside.

I am thinking that they are the gay equivalent of something like FHM or Playboy.

Is it because feminists are not so worried about the objectification of men?

Gay times and attitude both gay mags aren't porn

    They're very tasteful!

Seriously though they're not porn, don't think there's even a single fully naked guy in them

They deal with social, lifestyle health etc issues predominantly in a tasteful way
Maybe check one out next time you see one on sale

Discouraged by the cuckolded society we live in. Overweight hairy 3rd wave feminists complain because of a pretty girl on the cover of a magazine being objectified when really they are jealous. Meanwhile, gay rights are being pushed and no one would dare apply the same rules.

Yup, straight men are going to be exterminated via a lack of porn magazines aimed at men.

Frankly it's astonishing and proof of our virility that we made it thousands of years before the sneaky gheys came along and destroyed our porn.

Feminists don't influence the stock ordering inside shops. They do however seem to influence a fair bit of your thinking.

Where do lesbians fit into the equation? If here are no lesbian magazines goes that mean lesbianism is being actively discouraged by D'feminsts too?

So your gripe with the relative lack of straight male porn mags or straight male gossip mags like FHM etc?

What's wrong with a pretty boy on the cover to help sell copies
Every kind of magazine puts effort into their front cover

I'm not aware of a concerted effort by hairy feminists to alter the cover of magazines that portray women in a particular way

It is all objectifying of course but that's the industry and the society we live in

Yes. It is now discouraged to be a heterosexual male. Please report to your nearest gay/feminist station for ritual deballing and (gay or feminist) porn mag of choice.

However (post-deballing), protections for the straight male minority will enter into law; from now on, all images/videos of "lesbians" kissing in heterosexual magazines will be banned.

(Or it may be down to that men don't seem to be reading male magazines as much anymore; http://wwd.com/business-news/media/mens-magazine-market-upheaval-readers-decline-10336957/ but young gay men (and presumably women) that can't risk looking for gay porn/advice columns online still buy them. The simplest explanation is generally the right one.)

Seriously though, is 'the cuckolded society we live in' the new hipster expression for The Man? The Man is presumably an overweight hairy woman now of course.

I thought some of those lad mags had gone under due to lack of sales or were online only. Publishing is a tough business, lots of magazines don't last because people don't buy them. I think pre internet those publications did well because they appealed to a certain market, now that market gets what it wants online. Gay magazines have plenty of eye candy but also have actual proper decent articles rather than just filler.
