I was watching 28 Days Later and Frank's death always hits me in the feels. He survived so much and then succumbs because of a fecking crow. His death was tragic but it pushed the movie forward. Other death scenes get to me but overall, I would say his is the most memorable. Some deaths are sad, unfair etc but with this scene I was left with a huge range of emotions. The acting, music, build up etc was perfect.

I'm not sure if "best" is the right word but what is your best, favourite, memorable etc death in a movie?

THIS THREAD CONTAINS SPOILERS, LOADS OF SPOILERS.

Well the most over blown death that springs to mind is Sean Connery in The Untouchables. Great film but really silly how long he hangs on for after being shot numerous times!

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

+1 for Cliffhanger. Saw it for the first time a few weeks ago and thought surely he won't let her go.

For me, when John Voight's character dies in The Champ.

Ricky Schroder really stole the scene. Superb acting for an adult nevermind a young kid.

You have a heart of stone if that scene doesn't get you all choked up.

Oh God. I was traumatised for DAYS after that. My mother had to take me out of the cinema, I was so upset afterwards.

    I don't think I could watch that even now and I'm 35...

I also liked how Khan went out, still full of fire and rage. Vengeful and hate filled till the end.

That old chestnut again, but Clifford Worley played by Dennis Hopper in True Romance, where he insults the mafia man played by Christopher Walken for a quick death.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)
