Alternatively, could they name him and leave him go the whole way to the warm up and then say he's a late withdrawal, all the while knowing he was never starting anyway?

Not sure there would be any point in that really

The tackle count in defending the 30 odd phases before they scored their try after half-time

    Analysis here by Murray Kinsella

That Earls one must've been the one on Charlie Sharples? Thought it was a definite try as that pass was being released.

Only the one tackle from earls. Shocking stuff. Must try harder.

That was just in the 5 mins/ 35 phase defence on the line.

There's way more than 35 tackles there though

Ah yeah, over 60, but it was 35 phases

If there's 65 odd tackles and 35 phases then either there were 30 offloads or they're counting tackle assists as tackles too

Yup, he’s counting ‘involvement’ not just straight up tackles.

Sharples properly shat the course that night.
That was a bread and butter try for any winger worth their salt.
He also got bounced like a small child for Scannell's try too.

Another one in the Varndell, Lloyd, McGuigan category of Premiership wingers.

If I dont get a lift to Saturday's match I won't be going! Anyone passing near Tullamore going? Will share costs etc

(At the risk of jinxing it), is anyone thinking of booking flights to Edinburgh for a potential qf once Edinburgh result known? Just trying to get on reasonably priced flights before airlines jump up the prices.

QFs are set for 29th, 30th and 31st March. Wonder would there be more chance of 2 games on the Saturday and 2 on the Sunday now that it's just the 1 broadcaster?

Just on this, looks like Hearts are at home on the Saturday afternoon. Their stadium is just a mile from Murrayfield. Dunno does that make an evening ko for potential Edinburgh v Munster game more likely. Celtic v Rangers down for 12 the Sunday so guess BT wouldn't want to clash with that. Plus Racing likely to play on Sunday.

Go onto Munsterfans. They have a thread for this kind of stuff. There is surely someone passing. Boards users would be more likely to touch you or, have you seen the film 'Misery'?

When Glasgow played their home game v Embra at Murrayfield a few seasons back the attendance was capped at something like 10000 because the local authorities/emergency services could only provide so much cover.

Who are Hearts playing that day?

Had to have a google to find this: https://www.bbc.com/sport/rugby-union/35213838 Yeah back in 2016 but looks like it was lack of support staff due to it having to be moved from Scoutscon within a few days of matchday.

So don't think it will arise here! Don't think EPCR would be too happy or Munster fans hoping to travel for that matter. That said with Edinburgh averaging about 7,500 fans in Europe, would assume capacity wouldn't be more than half Murrayfield (unless there was serious demand).

Hearts are playing Aberdeen. Down at 3pm but dunno is that a holding ko or confirmed.

A potential Edinburgh v Munster game would be played on the Friday or Sunday if Edinburgh police say they can't support it on the Saturday.

Would have to be Friday in that case as Racing would want Sunday?

The closer we get the more nervous I am about this game. Exeter fans online seem excited about a trip to Thomond - atmosphere should be terrific, they made some amount of noise in the Aviva.

If there was any team I fancied to go in and just get it done, it would be Exeter.

But it wasn't a police issue back in 2016.. Would imagine if they can handle a full Murrayfield then say a 30k max Edinburgh v Munster attendance plis a say 20k max Hearts v Aberdeen attendance should be manageable. Once kos are staggered don't think it would be an issue?

Think the sticking point will be the need to beat us by 4 match points though.
