Is there much difference between North and South terrace at Thomond?

South is far better. South closer to town but even on busy days you should be able to work your way at some stage into East/West if you have your wits about you.... ;)
I normally work bars there but used always get away with that when i had misfortune to have a South/North ticket

South is better than the north as the north still has to old disabled ramp and section that splits the crowd.

As TLS said, you can usually slip into the East Terrace from the South Terrace too so that's worth considering

Re the game - it was a bit meh but in terrible conditions. I thought Cronin didn't set the world alight, similar passing as Williams and similar delays at getting the ball away from rucks.

The pros far outweigh the cons - BP win, the return of a few injured players and a 2nd start for Tyler. All leading up nicely for out CC games.

Roll on next Friday and onto the artificial pitch in IIP.

Greetings from Italy. Heading from Parma to milan to head home.

Conditions yesterday were deplorable. It was cold and wet and the pitch truly was a bog. Talking to Chris Farrell after the game and he said the ref would have been within his rights to call it off because the pitch was dangerous. Thankfully we came through it with a BP and no serious injuries, though Archer's bandaged bloody head was a sight to behold.

Totally a day for the forwards, think Wycherley and Coombes could just as easily have won motm.

Team were in great form last night, bumped into them in town. Was surprised they didn't fly back yesterday given this week's game being in Friday but then again they don't go many places where they can chill without being recognised.

Reckon there were maximum 100 Munster supporters at the game, maybe fewer.

Did you go to the Dubh Linn pub? Some great spots for food and drink in Parma. The locals are friendly.

No, I only flew over yesterday and was surprised to hear that the Irish bar closes on Sundays so never made it.

I assume we'll see close to the first choice lineup on Friday. Maybe POM could do with another week off though. :D

Rare enough that there'd be a full strength team at Musgrave Park, great to see. Presume it will be close to a sell out?

Sweetnam is being assessed for a back problem. Otherwise there are no injury worries from the USA and Zebre game per the update.

The Munster squad have started their preparations for Friday night’s Guinness PRO14 clash against Edinburgh at Irish Independent Park (7.35pm).
The bulk of the squad returned from Italy yesterday afternoon ahead of training today with Munster’s international contingent rejoining the team in Limerick this morning.

James Cronin (leg) and Alby Mathewson (calf) have picked up knocks and will be monitored by the medical team this week.

Darren Sweetnam will meet with a specialist today for a back injury sustained on international duty with Ireland on Saturday evening.

The following are progressing with rehabilitation: Liam O’Connor (knee), Rhys Marshall (hamstring), Jean Kleyn (thumb), Tommy O’Donnell (ankle), Jack O’Donoghue (knee), Dave O’Callaghan (foot), James Hart (knee), Dan Goggin (knee), Stephen Fitzgerald (foot).

Do we still have 5 scrumhalves registered for Europe? Murray, Mathewson, Williams, Cronin and Stafford I think

D.O.C has absolutely no luck. He seems to be injured every season.

I expect he won't be renewed after this season. A very talented player who couldn't break the injury curse.

Could have said that a renewel ago.
Yeah shame hasnt been able to stay fit. Perhaps going abroad and change of environment could help get him a run of games/stay fit

I imagine JOD's injury played a role in keeping DOC around for 2018/19.

I imagine JOD's injury played a role in keeping DOC around for 2018/19.

When fit he’s worth his place as backup 6,
But he has been injured a lot,
I don’t know if there’s a limit to how many injuries you can have before you lose your place,
It seems you need 3 players in every position as there’s a good chance only 2 out of 3 will be available any given week, and with rotation and benching there seems to be a lot of opportunity for game time to go around.
I’d keep DOC as long as he hasn’t suffered a drop in his performance due to the injuries,
Look at the injuries Peter O’Mahony has had, and he got back to better than before.
I suppose the alternative is to bring through the recent academy graduates in DOC’s place, Coombes and O’Connor might deserve a few games this season and if they’re good enough they could dislodge DOC.
I reckon DOC would pick up a contract in France though if he left Munster. Great player when fit.

Potential European Debut for Wycherley in 2 weeks time? Kleyn out injured so you’d presume it will be between himself and O’Shea for the 19 Jersey and his outstanding performances the past two games have surely put him as front runner.

I like the way Wycherly has a bit more "niggle" about him.

Guess Who's Back, Back Again? JJ's Back, Tell a Friend
Didn't get Gloucester tickets through MRSC lottery and seems to be sold out on Gloucester site :( Used up my luck in November series! Unfortunately I have flights and accom booked so here's hoping a couple of spares crop up.

Previously, it was only for Full members from what I remember. But ya, that email doesn't specify one way or the other.

There was a lottery for each level. What that means is if there were tickets left after the full member lottery, then those remaining tickets would be distributed through a lottery of the associate members.

With the amount of us that bought directly from Gloucester I'm amazed that people missed out. I seriously think there could be as many Munster supporters in the ground as Gloucester supporters.

Head over to Munsterfans.com after the the Castres games. They'll open a ticket thread 3-4 weeks before the match. There's usually plenty of tickets floating around on that.
