    Anyone know the calories in the pesto dressing?Emailed but they just said they'd be adding all of them to an app soon and didn't tell me.

    Sorry to drag up an old thread, but how is one supposed to ascertain this? They don't publish the ingredients of their dressings at all, so there is no way to know what is in these dressings? I think the publishing of calories without dressings is pointless to be honest and they are trying to hoodwink people into thinking they are eating less calories than they are. It would be quite easy for them to publish the calorie count of their dressings also, but that wouldn't make it such an attractive offer afterall.

    The calorie count of a dressing is meaningless without the quantity. The calorie counts they do give are for ~ fixed quantities.

    That said, they should consider putting a figure for X ml and while people will still underestimate the quantity of dressing they have used, at least the info is there.

    You probably could add about 150-200 kcal to any of the salads if you include the dressing.
    That’s going by the volume of the dressing in the little tub.
    I don’t mind adding the dressing myself as I only drizzle it over the salad rather than mixing it in.
    A couple tablespoons of olive oil isn’t the worst thing you could be eating for lunch.

    I got one recently and there was so much dressing on it that I had to bin it, horrible. Must have been 500+ cals from it alone.

    I had one and enjoyed it - though there was too much. It had a huge lump of ham in it plus the other ingredients that I asked for. I think you would need a bit of practise working out combos as I felt mine was slightly lacking - I had intended to ask for apple and got something else instead, the apple would have given it the bit of fresh sweetness it needed.

    Of course it’s healthy but and it’s a big but it depends on what you order, tons of healthy options in chopped and a lot more to offer than your regular fast food place.
    Just because a salad has the same calorie count as burger does not make them equal.
    If you order carefully you can have a substantial Healthy meal with a mix of protein, fats and carbs.

    I asked them online and they emailed me the dressing calories.

    They were scary .I agree that’s the reasons they don’t publish the calories.

    Also agree it’s not healthy, it’s a fad packaged as bring healthy. My friend st lush gets a Dublin deader, he thinks he being healthy I reckon he’s clocking up over 1000calores at lunch

    The olive oil was 540 for 60g and the lemon herb vinaigrette was 407kl for 60ml. Most of the others were about 225. 69ml is tiny

    Give a serving size and nutritional breakdown thereof.
    Let people think they're having a standard serving.
    Profit.

    In you are adding more of that to a salad, then chopped isn't the issue

    Sorry but it is, the average portion of dressing whatever it is, when “squirted” into the salad is a lot more than 60ml

    60ml is 4 tablespoons. A lot more than 4 tablespoons would be the average dressing

    60ml of olive oil is a lot on a salad. If you used that on a salad at home, the calories would be no different. So it's very bizarre to use that to complain about chopped.

    60ml is 60ml. No need it convert it to anything.
    Most tablespoons hold less than a "tablespoon" (15ml). But it's around two shot glasses of oil.

    The container for the dressing to go with your salad is 2oz. That makes it 60ml.

    Why do you think that Chopped display their calories for salads but not for dressings.?

    The container for the dressing to go with your salad is 2oz. That makes it 60ml.

    It’s tiny. When they put it in at the serving station, it’s a lot more than 4 tablespoons of dressing.

    Lemon herb is a vinigrette. It's probably 80% olive oil. Of course its similar to plain olive. Dressings that mostly oil are high in calories.

    Your tone is rude and condescending.

    I did not say they put 60g of dressing the salads, THEY said it in an email to me.

    THEY said THEY put 60g dressing (be it oil/vinegrette or whatever) on a salad and 35g on the wraps.

    I think they put a lot more in, as the servers tend to be heavy handed with the squirter and they dont measure. It would be easy to put 80-100g of dressing on one of those salads to coat the leaves and not realise it. 60g is not a huge amount for the amount of leaves.

    Other people have also said here that they got salads that were swimming in dressing.

    It was Chopped's recommendation to ask for the dressing on the side in the little pot.

    Ive been behind a person in the queue to have a server ask them "which dressing would you like, piri piri, mexican or lemon and herb) so people may not realise that its vinigrette.

    My point is people are eating Chopped thinking they are healthy as someone else says here, that's the sales pitch, its really fast food.

    It can be healthy, depending on what you pick, but Chopped not displaying the calories of the dressings alongside the salads is not transparant in helping people make healthier choices.


    Anway, I posted the dressings up to help people, that was the question asked, not to be labelled dumb.

    I got some of the products/sauces broken down. I left out piri piri, I'll sort that out next week. I picked 100g as it was easiest for calculations.

    Every thing in grams. I'm not writing calories, fat etc each time after the numbers but they go down the same format.
