Looking for a good local 2 player game. Have Mario Kart and overcooked already

How much challenge do you want?
If the answer is "not much" then try the new Kirby game. Up to 4 players with enough controllers, gentle, fun, and lots of Overcooked-like opportunities for screaming at eachother when P1 (who gets Kirby) keeps switching you to a Friend you don't want to be or the fire guy won't breathe on your sword to make a fire sword, etc. etc.

Fire Emblem Warriors (and presumably Hyrule Warriors) works in 2P local. It's good but repetitive fun.

Player two would be my wife, don't think she would like rocket league or hyrule warriors. Played Kirby demo, weren't fans of it. Never looked at arms but will check that out.

Worth having a watch of Arlos latest video. Makes some very good points.

Controller, case, games all arrived at the same time. Too much Switch stuff in one swoop. *tries to calm down*

He's probably one of the best Ninty commentators out there.
He loves the products but isn't afraid to call them on poor choices

There's no justice in this gaming world if Yoshi's Wooly World doesn't come to Switch

The switch eShop has a new "Discover" section for highlighting games and demos that are upcoming (or you may have missed). Charts now show the top 30 too.

Edit: Charts also have tabs to switch between overall and download-only.

    Something about sandwiches

Just bought another game from the eShop.

How come nobody mentions the thing you have to agree with to download a game??

"I consent that Nintendo begins with the performance of its obligations before the cancellation period begins. I acknowledge that I thereby lose my right to cancel."

I don't even know what that means. Looks like they just lobbed the Japanese text into Google translate and pasted it into the English language eShop.

I have it but have yet to play it! Bought it before exams so thought better not get too invested. Currently playing Tropical Freeze and cursing it! Will start South Park after, was also waiting for it to get patched!

I'm about 10 hours in and loving it. Never really played one of these type of games as i usually don't like the gameplay style, but I'm loving this.
Load times are my only gripe with the game.

Well, one wouldn't want to be a member of a forum who would allow the likes of me to be a member!

I just used a mix of lies and the ability to look pathetic on command, you could say I had her marry me under false pretences but then I get to sleep in a bed with a woman who didn't give birth to me or is paid to be there!

I do, quite fun. Meant to ask on here though about the load times as I find it ridiculous how much loading is involved but I see someone else mention it as well. How does Breath of the Wild manage that massive open world without stopping to load, yet I can't walk from one end of the street to the other in a 2D environment with static assets

True enough it is a bitch but it is made by ubisoft, i had a nightmare trying to setup club ubisoft.

Lovely game all the same so well done and the controls just work so well for the switch.

Would anyone here know how and why I would have lost all my playtime data from one of my games?

Before I lost my Switch and all my games back in February I had about 30 hours logged into Mario Odyssey. I re-bought the Switch pronto but I didnt buy Mario again until this week so I had already played a heap of games leading up to it, to the point where Mario wasnt even on my play history anymore, but I thought it would spring back up when I played it again. Instead it tells me I "first played it 3 days ago".

Does Nintendo reset the playtime after a period?
Could it have been the fact that when I got my second Switch it only pulled up play data from the last batch of games that were recorded? As I said: I had played a lot of games to the point that Mario wasnt visible in the playtime log anymore - I'm not too certain.

    Long story short;

    - Played 30 hours of Mario
    - Played loads of games since
    - Lost my Switch and games
    - Bought new Switch
    - Re-synced my profile
    - Bought Mario
    - Switch tells me I played it for the first time.
    - Confused.

    Sorry, I tend to waffle.

EDIT: Let me also point out this has nothing to do with the bug that the Switch went through where it reset playtime logs after 1 year. I have only had a Switch since December 2017.

AFAIK, new Switch means new playtime, your hour of gameplay do not carry over from one Switch to another

They do in a way. Kinda.... not really. It still showed that I played 60 hours on Zelda. I had to play more than 60 hours again to get it to increase. Whereas Mario doesnt say 30 hours anymore it says 0.

Hey just wondering is there any way to get the dock to display to the tv using a regular USB c charger? I borrowed a switch from a friend which came with a USB to usb c lead but no plug. When I use my own plugs or my own USB c charger it just says make sure I'm using the ac adapter that came with the console.

Any way around this at all? Really don't enjoy playing Zelda on handheld.

    Hey folks

A quick question somepne may be able to help with.
My son bought dragonball xenoverse 2 for the nintendo switch but when first setting it up, he selected Japan region.
Now talking in game is japanese and it cant be changed (menu option to do this in game settings doesn't exist for Japan region it seems).

How can I change the region for the game?
I have tried removing game physically from the switch then deleting the game software (under Data Mgmt, Software), restarting switch and putting game back in. While this does trigger a 4min download from nintendo (I assume), there has not been the question re selecting a region.

    Any ideas?

It's not getting enough charge. So not with your particular charger.

The game languages are usually selected by the user profile you start it with. Did he start it with a Japanese account?

    Just to elaborate on this...

The (official) Switch adapter has two output modes : 5V/1.5A and 15V/2.6A. The 15V mode is for when the Switch is docked, so "standard" chargers will never work as intended. So either cough up for a replacement charger, or bug your friend for the official one.

Would it be worth to delete the save file also? Going from memory, deleting the software leaves the save files untouched.

Edit: "System Settings" > "Data Management" > "Save Data/Screenshots"
