Yeah and before anyone says it I know it's not great but MY .223 shoots it accurately enough for me plinking and it's cheap as chips.
Wanted to see what it's like in the .308

Yeah they only have the 62gr FMJ in the .223.
Anyone recommend another really cheap .308 round

Never even copped they were FMJ. I use mine for short range target shooting. I use lots of rounds so need a cheap,l but half decent round.

The only other cheap 308 stuff i've seen is Wolf. Exactly like TulAmmo (steel case, etc), but from seeing them being shot i've noticed a serious amount of issues from not feeding to hard extractions to duds, etc.

Could have been a bad batch but no harm to try. I think Grizzly45 has used them so he could possibly tell ya more.

There's a lot of ammo snobs out there when you mention any of the steel case stuff but I've yet to have a problem with it and as mentioned before it's cheap as chips.

I got some military surplus 7.62 from Fingal Sports a few years ago. German stuff 'MEN' was the brand I think. Was reasonably accurate for targets but I only shot it as far as 200m.
Isn't there a dealer from Westport who advertises in the Shooter's Digest with surplus 7.62?

DO NOT make the mistake off using 5.56 ammo in a 223. Just FYI.

Nope, don't know of anyone stacking it other than the above posts.

Are you just looking for some cheap plinking, or do you expect some sort of accuracy, however limited?

I only ask because the really, really, cheap stuff if cat in terms of accuracy. I mean it would dishearten you when you see your target. Its only purpose is for knocking steel at short distances or just for the sake of pulling a trigger.

I can understand the want for cheap ammo. Seen some prices, again, recently of the price here to Europe or America. We are being ridden all the way to the till.
