    Is it about being warm

I can think of one or two better ways to warm up in the gym.

Giving a monkeys what someone wears in the gym. What's that all about?

I thought it was to cause you to sweat more. Lose more weight?

Having time to pay attention to other people. What's that about?

Personally I wear a hoodie to the gym when its cold.

Much the same way as I wear a hoodie outside when its cold.

Sweating more just means losing water and therefore dehydration.

I couldn't give a monkeys what people wear in the gym most of the time. The hoodie thing bamboozles me though. Saw a fella yesterday wearing a sleeveless t shirt that had a hood. What's the point of that.

Maybe these guys think they look gansta with the hoods? Trying to attract the eastern euro dudes.

    What does it matter?

How about mind your own business.

Been going to the gym for over 30 years. Can't recall ever being cold.

I wear a hoodie in the gym every day, I'm not the only one. I sweat like a pig as a result but that's for another discussion.

    You're awesome.

Just lads thinking they look hardcore, nothing to do with being warm in the gym. Not something which would bother me, kinda like lads walking around wearing lifting belts and gloves, or Tapout gear.

I've even seen lads come into Northwood wearing MMA gloves LOL.

the clothing a woman wearing can greatly enhance my perving experience.

also I do see many fashion victim looking like clowns....so yeah I'd care.

not to mention the die-hards training in jeans etc...

dunno what's the issue of him noticing and questioning it.
i often wondering if hoodie wearers are too hot in my gym cos I'd be.

Well only in the gym. It's why I go there. I keep my socializing for other times of the day.

A little tip. If you are cold while exercising you aren't doing it right.

    You're being very defensive.

Why do you wear hoodies in the gym?

Because Rocky wore his hood up when he worked out and he beat Ivan Drago, so it's kind of a no brainer, it obviously makes you well hard.

I wear a hoodie to the gym, standard penny's hoodie and occasionally a branded one. When I'm warm enough it comes off.

God I'm so hardcore. I'm just screaming for attention.

Who cares what's written on someone's hoodie? Or even if they wear one? I normally stay well away from the "fitness" forum here because of how poisonous it is. I see things haven't changed.

    Lighten up ffs.

Why do you wear hoodies in the gym?

Because i get out of a cold car. Go into a cold gym. After I'm warmed up it comes off.

Look at me being such a wanker.

I do the same, seems to have touched a nerve with you though.

I can't imagine caring enough to question anything related to what people are wearing. That's all.

I notice and question how long he/she /they are going to be using a rack. That's about it, tbh.

Are we talking about just wearing a hoodie, or walking around with the hood up?

I was assuming with the hood up. Can't see anyone posting unless the hood was up

I generally walk to gym, so need to wear something more than a t-shirt. Don't do cardio in the gym because I prefer running outdoors, so I'm there exclusively for lifting; never really get too warm. Hood down the whole time, except when squatting because it gets in the way otherwise.

    Don't see the big deal.
