When Nixon resigned, the Vice President took over. What if both Trump and Pence end up so compromised that neither are acceptable as President, what happens then? Is there a designated order of succession or does Congress have to appoint someone? Or a new election?

We are a million miles away from that. Think about it, Sessions have been caught totally red handed and yet there is still talk of him staying on. Imagine what sort of evidence would be required not only to impeach but to actually remove both Trump and Pence.

But on your question, doesn't it move down to Paul Ryan?

These things take time. The basic "event" in watergate was a break-in which happened on June 17 1972. Nixon was re-elected the following November. It was the following April that Dean, the WH counsel, started co-operating with prosecutors. In May a Senate Committee started hearings. In October Spiro Agnew resigned as VP for unrelated corruption reasons!

In May 1974, impeachment charges started. In August, Nixon finally resigned.

More than two years of drip, drip, drip revelations, leaks and informants.

If this escalates to that level, we are only at the start, a few months in.

No doubt there have been plenty informal chats within the GOP of the type that, if Trump has to go, we have Pence. Not a bad fall back position for many, especially conservative Republicans.
If it gets to a tipping point, I see the Republicans moving on him, remember 2018 elections are not far away.

    There's a designated order.

If Trump and Pence both resign and no new VP has been confirmed, Paul Ryan becomes president.

If this were a movie I feel on this note it would cut from the good guys to Paul Ryan as the audience realises who the true villain of the movie is and whst his master plan is. For full effect it would involve Paul Ryan laughing in a room with red lights.

Seriously though without Trump to whip them up the private server thing is a dumb mistake but hardly disqualifies anyone from being president - no matter what the Trump crowd were screaming about.

Also as it currently stands I don't buy the complete demfad conspiracy theory. Certainly anyone who lied under oath needs to go and the full nature of relations with Russia with the Trump team needs to be uncovered.

I also have little issue with the crowd making up conspiracy theories while Trump hides his tax returns. Certainly at this point it suggests corruption. Potentially linked to Russia (though it does not mean mean actual treason). It is one of the two reasons he would continue to hide them. We know he does not pay taxes, he admitted as much months ago and still hides them. Logic dictates he is hiding something but given his ego it could be that he is a mere millionaire. Still transperency is needed. Republicans also seem scared of whst could be in there.

A vast conspiracy seems unlikely. The evidence at the moment suggests opportunism. To quote that New Yorker piece I linked to earlier:

    And

I never implied a vast conspiracy, I implied a large one requiring a 9/11 type investigation into everything related to the campaign and to Trump and his associates.

Look at the people we know have had contact with Russian Government officials during the campaign:

    Sessions
    Page
    Kushner
    Cohen
    Flynn
    Gordon
    Don Jr
    Manafort

None of these are now denied by the involved parties.

Donald Trump, and Roger Stone are also under FBI investigation presumably.

Russians/Ukranians under extradition to US related to Russian Interference.

Dmitri Firtash- Oligarch connected to Manafort and Semion Mogilevich
Yevgeniy Nikulin - Russian hacker arrested in Prague

Now remember, KNOWING a treasonous conspiracy is taking place and doing nothing is also crime.

The following are (presumably) guilty of at least that:

    Mike Pence
    Steve Bannon
    Stephen Miller
    Ivanka Trump
    Eric Trump
    Wilbur Ross
    Sean Spicer
    Robert Mercer
    Rebekah Mercer

Lets look at the DOJ investigation into the FBI role in the reopening of the Clinton email investigation:

    Rudy Giuliani
    Erik Prince
    NY FBI staff
    NYPD staff
    (Potentially Breitbart staff)

    Social Media/Cambridge Analytica

Russian trolls and bots were used in conjunction with Cambridge Analytica to make users/subjects trend so that analytics and MSM would pick them up.
CA used a galaxy of webpages (13,000) to propagate fake news and send it to amplifier sites.

Accounts that were amplified by Russian bots: If these users interacted in any way to divulge knowledge or coordination with this process they will go down.

    Cernovich
    Coulter
    Dan Scavino (Trump SM manager)
    Richard Spencer.
    Others....

CA company interaction to secure hiring of Russian paid trolls and bot army. Various people
    Mercers
    Jason Miller
Peter Thiel (open to correction here) as well as
    Jared Kushner.....
    Firtash

.....were involved in the bid data and AI program. There can be no plausable deniability.....Who administered websites? etc.

    Hacking of Anthony Wiener laptop/Phone.

Yevgeniy Nikulin was charged with offences relating to the hacking of computer networks belonging to LinkedIn, Dropbox and Formspring. Formspring was the app that Anthony Wiener used to sext in secret, resulting in a Daily Mail story about that promted the FBI to search device find emails and reopen Clinton investigation.

Wiener was never charged, the girl doesnt seem to have been underage. It seems this was a ruse to search his laptop where Nikulin had dumped HRC emails and get the investigation reopened. (very strong rumour at present)

    US and Russian hackers etc.
    Various.

    Others:

Felix Sater, old dodgy developer friend of Trumps who built Trump Soho and several other Trump towers to launder money through. He met with Cohn and Ukraine politician to discuss Uktraine 'peace' plan 2 weeks ago and last year.

Rybolovlev and associates: Plane spotted beside Trumps at many aerports including during weekend Flynn 'retired'

    Republicans:

Any politician who was hacked and blackmailed by Trump/Bannon or Russia. Nunes? Chaffetz?

Note* RNC server was hacked also.

    Murders:

Atleast 4 murder inquiries. 11 bodies since just before the election. Atleast 4 with direct links to Trump/Russia

    Trump business:

4 decades of dodgy connections to Russia/China etc. to be picked apart. See Russian connections post above, Similar for Chinese connections. How many politicians/busnesspeople has Trump bought/blackmailed? FBI who turned the other way to money laundering etc?

This will take years but many will go down.

    Trump Presidency:

Kleptocarcy to date to be investigated. Corrupt awarding of infrastructure contracts. 'Trump' TM China, etc. etc.

And I don't know the quarter of it.
Small conspiracies are successful. Big ones arent. They didnt expect to succeed. If anyone thinks this couldnt be the case, do your research.

Russia simply does not have the resources to enable another cold war. US won the economic argument years ago.

Putin has been using the increased military interventions as a way to keep peoples minds off the economy and the latest round of sanctions, coupled with the concerted campaign to force the drop in oil process has exacerbated his problems.

Having someone like Trump in the WH is a godsend to Putin as he will either get what he wants (lifting of sanctions etc) or failing that will be able to provoke Trump into getting invloved in something that heightens the military tension.

Would anyone like to read some of Vice President Mike Pence's emails?

  • Registered Users Posts: 683 ✭✭✭conditioned games

It's military warfare the American and British establishment crave for. Since Bush pulled out of the cold war agreement we have had the west continuingly being the aggressor. Demonising Russia through the controlled mainstream media, circling Russia and China with military bases and nasty rhetoric from the pro establishment politicians.

With the debt based currencies especially the US dollar coming to the end of it's life they need to stop the east from gaining their share of wealth. Russia has the weaponry to stand firm against the western aggression hence all the anti Russian propaganda we are hearing.

The US intelligence have yet to provide evidence the fabricated story of Russian inference in the US election is not another one of their propaganda efforts to prepare us for war.

So the MSM and all of the USA's intelligence services are lying? Fair enough. Any proof?

    Provide evidence? Who needs evidence.
BERLIN — After hackers infiltrated the German Parliament’s computer network in May 2015, it took nearly a year before the country’s intelligence agency concluded that the attack was most likely the work of their Russian counterparts.
Last week, when 900,000 Germans lost access to internet and telephone services, it took a matter of hours before politicians began pointing fingers at Moscow.

Why no links of Hillary with her Saudi pals? When will the hard evidence exposing the Clinton Foundation start to come out since the Dems are trying to implicate Trump yet hold off any investigation into the Clinton affair?

Last time i checked the American media when it came to the Clinton affair it was treated very casually that she was on good terms with the Saudi and Qatar's. All hushed up and media concentrated on Trump and his Russia ties.

    Hopefully not WW3!
I've noticed that CNN is alluding that the Russian Ambassador is a "top spy"
Current and former US intelligence officials have described Kislyak as a top spy and recruiter of spies,
    http://edition.cnn.com/2017/03/02/world/sergey-kislyak-russian-ambassador-us-profile/
I was watching RT earlier at it pointed out that ambassador Kisylak (top spy) was in the White House 22 times during the Obama administration. I wonder if top spy and recruiter of spies Kisylak (top spy) was trying to recruit Obama?

    Ah yes.

Let's point fingers at people who are not in the White House let's do that.

    Well done trump.

Apologies if everyone sees through it. The thing about deflection is that it might work once maybe twice but more times that you can count ...Not very likely.

Someone should send this straight to the president. Maybe he could get the ball rolling. Might have to wait until that special prosecutor we were promised is done with Clinton.

I'm just amazed people will see this and think "yup, this is the kind of idiot I want as president"

There is no foreign policy ban on talking to Russia. As part of government business the ambassador etc would talk to each other.

Pelosi was clearly at a meeting with the Russians. Nothing inherently wrong in that.

What Sessions did was to lie, under oath. He volunterred (as Franken didn't actually ask about him) false information. How many times he met, what they talked about etc is not the issue.

Flynn admitted that he talked to the Ambassador about sanctions, which is against the law in the US. And again, it was not even that he called the ambassador, we all knew that weeks ago. But he lied about it to Pence.

So trying to bring in some random photos (Schumer is from 2003, nearly 14 years ago!) is pretty pathetic and for anybody to run with the as any sort of defence is absurd.

Trump and his supporters keep going on about the democrats and the leftist snowflakes needing to accept the election result and get on with it. It seems to me that Trump and his supporters are still stuck trying to fight the election. The media and Democrat have moved on and are busy doing their job, holding the WH to account.

Whst is interesting is aside from what Trump says is what he ignores. I mean this is a man that has twitter battles with celebrities but somehow failed to acknowledge the recent terrorist attack in Kansas? I mean his policy is largely based on security and stopping terrorist attacks. Why did he not mention it? I wonder whst the difference is?

Similarly with the threats to Jewish people recently. He was even asked point blank about it and entirely dodged the question of doing anything about it.
Otherwise he would be blamed for racism

    Same for Muslim attacks

So, what, are you claiming that the anti-Jewish attacks have all been faked? Or the one in Kansas?

I mean, he even acknlowdged the need to do something about anti-semitism in his recent speech.

Or is it that you are making the point that he can't tweet about these attacks on the basis that other attacks have been shown to be false? If that is the case, why does he tweet at all. Surely he should wait until all the facts come out before making any statement.

Apart from confirming that he is a lunatic, these texts show that Trump is very afraid of something that he thinks is about to come out.
