Conor should sign wonderfullife up to write his auto-biography. Won't get a better sports writer in my opinion.

Do we think conor will win on Saturday? If he does will he attend?

Everyone online saying it should be him but whether they voted is another thing.

Just got around to reading your blog wonder, that was an incredible read. To all the TLDR people, take 10 minutes of your time to read it and experience the life of a fellow poster. I wish you all the best man.

PS. Make the jump and try BJJ. I'm doing it almost a year and it's life changing. I think it could really help.

    THIS.

BJJ is like preventative maintenance for the brain. It occupies so much of my thoughts throughout the day. It takes up that space in your head that makes you start thinking and worrying about something insignificant. Its also good for you and keeps you fit...........nobody is to big/small/weak/strong for BJJ. Im 92kg, and the one guy I have the most trouble with in my club weights 69kg.....dudes got technique....thats what matters.

It will also help you in your writing about MMA, nothing it better than experiencing it and appreciating the technical nature of it.

    No Brainer, just do it.

Thanks a million for all the contributions thus far wonderfullife.

I'm an avid lurker in the MMA forum and a massive McGregor follower too, wish I could articulate half as well as you and contribute more to the forums content.

That was one of the best written pieces I have read in a long time. You're a top man and chin up.

He's accusing Conor now of "Quitting like a bitch" while replaying clips of the first Nate fight.

He's also offering €10,000 to whoever comes with the best caption for the 'Conor McQuitter' diss clip.

By Floyd's standards, that's pretty funny in fairness.

Id love to see him in the Octagon with any fighter in the UFC, he would be dismantled rapid. Utterly demolished.

Yeah, and any fighter between 125 and 170 in the UFC, he'd destroy in a boxing match.

Rarely do I even so much as lurk in this thread, don't know the first thing about MMA, but just to say that was a great piece of writing wonderfullife.

And, also, just to say - to condscend and hate on it puts some people top of the league in terms of internet sadassery. It must feel great to reign supreme in that Kingdom of Nothing.

Untrained fighter would get beaten by trained, high level mixed martial artist in mixed martial arts bout shocker.

Its not Floyd who mentioned Conors name first, it was Conor who first brought up Floyds name, granted that was when Conor was less famous. Conor was the one talking about fighting floyd in a boxing match, Floyd never mentioned that he would fight Conor in an MMA match. Conor is saying he can hang in there boxing with Floyd, would be interesting to see how that goes :pac:

Alternating rounds would be interesting. 1/3/5 rounds boxing, 2/4/6 MMA. Who would you back?? Might see a more aggressive Mayweather going for the kill as opposed to picking his shots and giving a boxing lesson for 12 rounds like he does against everyone.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 903 ✭✭✭paulieeye

wtf...is floyd actually pushing for this? So #50 for him would be an MMA fighter?? Has he compared their last PPV figures and seen the mcg is getting maybe 3 times the numbers?? he must think that this is the biggest fight he can get at the moment.
I cant see what he has to gain outta this except money. Maybe just hype to keep relevant.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 761 ✭✭✭GerryDerpy

God it just goes to show how big McGregor has become. Floyd Mayweather acting desperate using him to try and stay relevant.

When you look back in years to come, MMA will really be remembered as Pre-McGregor and Post-McGregor. Fighting aside; what he's done for the sports image is simply incredible.

I saw a mixed bout at at japanese event and it was terrible, quickly turned into a sham.

And we've already seen a boxer in mma and it was one of the worst fights of all time. If anything is going to happen it needs to just be a boxing match

Has Mcgregors high profile and popularity had an effect on mma though? It hasn't led to an increase in non McG ppv figures from what I see on mmapayout.
