The 13 day two weight world champ.

Your trolling is getting tiresome, if McGregor bothers you that much then don't come on here where you have to read about him. You don't come on for any other purpose or discuss any other aspect of MMA. You dont have to like him but you have to involve yourself in actual proper discussion, if you are just going to troll then the next time it will be a ban and id suggest not returning if its just going to be more of the same.

Where did I say anything about it being a paper title?
Of course it's a legitimate title. But that doesn't change the fact that the WBA have multiple world titles in that division - which is what I said. I think there are currently 3 WBA FW champs.

Fair enough with Interim titles when needed. But the super/regular system makes no sense anymore. It was supposed to be a label awarded to fighters holding multiple belts in one one class. But not this super title. It cheapens it.
    Not Carl's fault. WBA's

Wait, what? I don't know díck about boxing, how are there 3 champs in the one division?

There's load of different boxing organisations with different rankings and champions.
Wiki tells me there is 7 different Fw boxing champions.

theres actually 7 when you take the different orgs into account. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_current_world_boxing_champions) Boxing champs are way too watered down at the minute it really needs sorting.

Super Champion, World Champion and Interim Champion I'd imagine.

The Interim and World champions should be made fight or be stripped and then the winner gets the super champion to unify the two belts and then just call it the world champion again.

    It won't happen though.

I knew there were different organisations with their own belts but that kinda makes sense. Same as how UFC, Bellator etc. all have belts for their own divisions. Obviously boxing is different because one person can hold belts in different organisations which doesn't have in MMA.

Edit: Just checked out that link. Some divisions in the one organisation have an undisputed champ... and a normal champ and an interim champ. What the fúck. Someone needs to hand those guys a dictionary.

This is the bit I don't get. Interim I get but what's the difference between the world and super belt?

The super champion thing is unique to the WBA.

Basically the theory was that if someone was the champion of more than 2 recognised organisations (WBA, WBO, WBC or IBF) then they automatically became the WBA "Super Champion", basically the undisputed champion, because they held most of the belts, even if they weren't the WBA champion.
At some stage that went out the window though...

So this brought about situations where someone could be the WBA champion but not the super champion.

In reality the "super champion" title shouldn't exist and it certainly shouldn't be possible to win it without holding at least 3 of the 4 belts, because that was the entire point of the fecking thing.

Likewise, nobody should ever defend an Interim title, the entire point of an Interim title is to label a mandatory #1 challenger for the real title.

And I thought the whole interim belt thing for the Holloway Pettis fight was daft.

    Because Boxing.

While that's an unfortunate product of the different orgs, it not what I was talking about. That's the same as UFC, Bellator, One, WSOF, CW all have belts in the same division.

    Exactly.
Originally it made a bit of sense on paper. The regular WBA champ can also get promoted to super champ after a certain number of wins. That's fine too I guess.

But Leo Santa Cruz won the Super title by beating Abner Mares. Neither of them held any title coming into the fight. They literally just invented this title for the fight, despite there being two others at the time. That has now become Frampton's title.
So it looks like it's a think now and they've no plans to unify any of them.

I'm a bit slow on the uptake but if it was you who wrote that piece its excellent. Flows so well in terms of writing and a great story too. I hope you get to make a decent living writing.

Fair play to you wonder. Always enjoy reading your posts and it takes some bravery speaking out about mental health issues, even just to a few people on a site who you never met irl.

You'll always get people putting you down but they have their own battles going on as well and unfortunately they lash out in different ways, as show by the poster above.

Just got around to reading your blog wonder, that was an incredible read. To all the TLDR people, take 10 minutes of your time to read it and experience the life of a fellow poster. I wish you all the best man.

PS. Make the jump and try BJJ. I'm doing it almost a year and it's life changing. I think it could really help.
