    Another separate thing to modding is that Necro spotted a load of bots registering on COP, so from now on, all sign ups will be approved by the current game mods who have admin access to COP.

    The user database was a mess already, without it being clogged up by bots.

    So if anyone cant gain access, lack of admin approval after they reg may be the issue.

    What do you mean bots?

    Do you mean the character logins like The Rock and Bret in the WWE game for example? Should I have deleted them after the game?

    No - random hacking bots that go onto sites all over the internet and if the registration doesnt have to be approved, registers a load of accounts on the system to **** it up.

    Account created by game mods are fine.

    No spammers, fake accounts. I deleted about 30 odd of them and then caught another 8 in my access approved net.

    Don't post functional links to the other site.
    make the people here do some work to the link the makes it work, substitute out http:// for example.

    boards is a public site, and everytime you publish working links, they get scooped up by bots.

    awaiting activation is wise too, but needs to be actively checked every so often so people aren't waiting indefinitely for activation.
