T-shirts during the afternoon today and yesterday. Grass growth exploding. Gone from struggling to get cows out during the day a week ago to 24 hr breaks from yesterday.

Turned cold here yesterday and today. Sold all the last of my spare hay and silage. Happy enough so now it can turn as warm as it wantsðŸ˜

Cold, windy and spilling out of the heavens since 11am. All calves on oad (am feeding) now so we're having a lazy afternoon watching the club championships and racing. Just finished the dinner and enjoying a glass or two of wine.

Thanks, I needed a bit of a break and relaxation.
We had to vaccinate (Rispoval) and dose (Bovicox) 35 calves this morning that we brought home in the early hours of Thursday morning. All cattle out on fresh pasture (access to sheds) since Monday except for 4 weedy yearlings that were housed in Autumn and Daisy's recently weaned bull.

What is Daisy in calf to and when is she due? Only 1 cow in calving pen here , doubt she will calve tonight. Will be a long drawn out affair now until the middle of April .Just had a lovely ham, cabbage , mash and parsley sauce tea yum

Wind is rising. Hope not in for a rough night. Cows and calves have put themselves to bed early tonight!

AI'd on the 18th of June to RHS - https://webapp.icbf.com/bull-search/view/442306536
By looking at her she is not showing much which is not surprising considering last years calf was only weaned last week :o
    Hopefully she held.

No rain here, either today or yesterday.
Good drying out actually and cows are not marking the ground.

It looks to be the opposite for the rest of the country.

Ya,last two days have just been constantly misting. It was meant to clear today but never done it. Heavy going with pull ups and a wet jacket for the whole of the day putting up a bit of fence
