If this last match was a horse, they'd shoot it to put it out of its misery!

Likely be crucified by the US media for his wildcards and his pick of Mickelson in the foursomes.

But the players largely didn't deliver.

Couldn't hit a fairway or buy a putt.

    Fleetwood is like a grasshopper

    Loving Postman Poulter.

    LOL

The Americans have never really understood the concept of teamwork in golf. They are so in it for individual glory week in week out switching their mindset seems to be beyond them and I've a suspicion that the captain whoever it is really has little interest in understanding group dynamics and how to exploit natural alliances.

Yet they continually win the Presidents Cup against arguably a stronger caste of opponents. The Ryder Cup continues to be a blind spot.

I think lefty might keep schtum in his criticism of the captain.

Stating the obvious but it's good to see how much it means to guys without the financial incentive.

These days you only get one chance to be ryder cup captain so he was "getting the sack" regardless of the result.
