The Homestore and More ad with the kids running around and using the place like a playground, everything you'd hate if you were one of the other shoppers in the store

I've been gambling regularly for nearly forty years. Those stupid ads would almost make me stop.

The ba-boom ad for 1 of the health insurance parasites is vomit inducing as is the 1 where the doctor has to learn a dance routine for a cartoon child, maybe the same company but I'd be going with their competition if I was looking for health insurance after seeing that shìte

This one from Lidl is so bad.

Will ye wear your masks please?

And stop handling product that you are not buying

Are Lidl suggesting shoppers are this thick?

There's some hilariously bad ad where a florist and a pharmacist are discussing a paracetamol/ibuprofen combo..

Mrs Mc Carthy & myself always get a good giggle out of that one..... I think they've achieved their objective there though.....its so utterly cringe/bad ...its actually good.

    "Morning Rosie....nice flowers"

( Rosie waves hands around) "Well,Tom, you inspired me but what exactly is ......".........

I bet Tom & Rosie get a right laugh every time that comes on......3rd class Christmas play has better acting

There is certainly a trend appearing. Couples, even families, have to be mixed race, and men are shown as stupid when women are all clever. All that's left is to make reference to the brand. It's almost at parody levels now. Don't these companies undertake market research or has that been abandoned in favour of some social liberal 'norms', taking political correctness to the extreme?

That said, the Supervalu smashed it and winning followed by the obligatory exclamation marks seemed to really a new low, but I'm sure there will be worse to come.

The stupid male partner generating numerous eye rolls from the better half is such a cliche at this stage alright.

In fact it doesn't stop there.. there's a radio ad with some girl going on about her dad giving pension advice.. old man painted out to be loveable idiot

I always felt the dominos yeodelling ads are the base level.....twould be hard to beat them for sheer moraness/ idocyy

Bord Gais changed their technician to a woman too.

Not surprised....that other lad was on double time working Christmas & he spent the day around in some random family's house tearing into the turkey & ham

And she got a new van, not sure if it's a zero emissions van ( big mistake if it isn't) and there's no fog.

I think it's another gas ad where you see someone turning off the gas at the meter with the worst looking compression joint I've ever seen, it does my head in every time I see it...

Fun fact: the original William Hill was a Black and Tan.

The Ladbrokes ad about choosing a horse is particularly bad. Theres a lad in the middle of it who appears to be one half of a gay couple who stares down the camera and says "Its just a gut instinct". I seriously want to punch him in the face.

The most annoying thing about that Lidl ad with the stupid husband constantly filling the trolley with extra stuff is that from experience the woman is far more likely to stray from the shopping list.

I don't know about any other men out there, but I tackle the list with military precision. If it's not on, it's not going in the trolley.

Maybe the feminists can be allies of men and call out these sexist ads!?

There's no shortage of "ha, stupid man" ads. Is it Currys that have the one where the dumb man is eating all the food in the broken fridge instead of buying a new fridge?

The blind lassie who hates the noise when she scrunches her hair - don't scrunch it then!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,334 ✭✭✭✭CoBo55

That's me😆, if you see something you think we need, pick it up, in my head, not happening 😉

Have to say when I watched it, I was trying to work out were they trying to implement some sign language in the ad, just by the way she was motioning with her hands while she was talking.

Not me I'm afraid..I dawdle thru the aisles....and if I spot something thats bright and shiny or has anything of a "dinky" look about it I am quiet likely to buy.

Its a failing I agree .....as I dodge the hordes of gimlet eyed beours intent on "GETTING THIS SHOP DONE!"

Oh ! an if I spot a bag o Pork Scratchins........

The BBC is ...... I never thought the day would come when I would complain about a BBC ad, this one is a piece of self promotion by them, and it is extremely annoying. It starts by posing the question "The BBC is ....", and there then follows a cacophony of disjointed video clips, full of woke virtue signalling, noise, a woman screeches "BOOORING", 😣 another woman wails out a high pitched operatic noise, it's bloody awful, and the mute button is instantly activated. Sad to see the BBC dumbing down like this. 😐️

    The Pampers 'poonami' ad. 🙄

That poor kid in years to come.

There was an ad break at one poinnt last night which had an advert for viagra followed by that Specsavers ad with the guy moving to Dancing In The Moonlight. It occurred to me that playing the audio from the first ad over the video of the second would work well.
