After having Bayley come for the save last week, they hav eher be first eliminated.

I was getting worried for a sec as well about the Enzo/Cass thing but when it went on so long, I knew Cass was going to attack.

Brock's face was getting so red last night, I mistook him for Trump with those eyebrows as well

For a few months now I enjoy Goldust & Titus O'Neil more than Balor & Rollins who come across overpoweringly bland every time they speak. The Hardy's & Shesaro are another bunch that just tire me now as there is no bite or anything resembling genuine chemistry to their run together.
Joe's angle along with Cass and Enzo was well executed. On the upside for Bayley she didn't get humiliated this week :) but seeing Mickie James reminded me how misused she has been since signing.
Poor Miz stuck with some sort of Bill Cosby throwback who just pandered to the lowest common denominator of people.

Since I don't want to ask in the divas thread, why were all the women there?

What did the Miz do to get stuck with Ambrose for so long.

The Miz was the best thing they had going for months then they moved him to RAW.

Miz and Ambrose are both in the same positions right now; too good for the midcard but not good enough to break into the absolutely jam packed main event tier st the moment. They literally have no one else available on their levels currently, so are stuck together.

    I don't know about that.

The Miz vs Finn makes more sense to me than Finn vs Samson.

Miz jealous of the new kid on the block.

Ambrose vs Samson again makes more sense two loaners fighting it out.

or even reverse it and you have The Miz vs Samson and turn Ambrose heel and you have him vs Finn.

The WWE problem as I see it right now is they don't have enough credible heels and way too many faces.

I think Miz has the ability to instantly be one of the top main event level talents if they only let him, I couldn't care less about Wyatt or Rollins these days and it's anyone's guess what they're doing with Balor. Moving to Raw was the worst thing that could've happened to Miz, if only they'd kept him where he was I fully believe he'd be in Jinder's position now, just doing it a hell of a lot better and likely to hold the title past Summerslam too.

Ambrose on the other hand is fine as a midcarder in my opinion. They're trying to book him like a modern version of Stone Cold but they're so hampered by the child-friendly product they've created that they will never be able to turn him into a top guy like this because it's so tough to be edgy in WWE anymore. There was a few months after the Shield split where he was red hot and everyone was behind him, but he never reached that level again since and he won't at this rate. I just don't really care about him anymore, he needs to reinvent himself somehow or bide his time until they reunite the Shield which they'll likely do far earlier than needed.

Anyone else think there's a possibility of Heyman turning on Brock and siding with Joe?

Joe is getting the upper hand on Brock and Heyman could realise this and maybe think Joe is the beast instead, would be something different because it's been 5 years of my client Brock Lesnar and Heyman could be doing so much more on screen and surely he's due a new client after Ryback and Axel

    Yeah Ambrose has really floundered.

IMO he's just not good enough in the ring. He's distinctly average, even at bit below at times as he's prone to sloppy execution and overselling.

Given the fact that Strowman vs. Lesnar for the title at Summerslam is said to be locked in, I'd imagine they'll stick together for now. Heyman only belongs with Brock or Punk anyway, it felt so weird seeing him manage anyone else and it did absolutely nothing for Cesaro, Axel or Ryback. I like the idea of him with Joe though, he has the ability on the mic not to rely on Heyman too much, I just think the timing won't allow it to happen yet.

No but turning on Brock at Summerslam and becoming Strowmans mouth piece would be interesting

They need the title off Brock and on Brawn asap

Brawn is everything Brock is, but is there every, single, week and being a younger, fresher face, has way, way more upside.

I would agree with this. Brawn is ok on the mic at the moment better than some and with Paul Heyman in his corner can only be a good thing. It would also help him stay near top of card and fare better out of RR feud than he probably will long term.

The Miz's take on THAT segment on Monday night.
It did exactly what WWE wanted, it got people talking. I don't condone what they said under no means. There was a script and they didn't stick to it. That's just the wrestling business for you. Sometimes you get put in situations where you have to go off the fly and that's what I did. I honestly feel that whenever WWE wants to bring in celebs, it's me or Chris Jericho that has to deal with them. If fans didn't like the segment I understand, WWE tries to cater to everyone and sometimes it doesn't work out as planned you know what I mean?

In America so watching live...for a while. Not sitting through three whole hours :P

It's a shame Enzo is so poor in the ring, cause he can cut absolutely awesome promos when given something good to talk about...

Thread with the exception of your 2 posts, and my reply, is a ghost town, says it all really about the "heat" for the Great Balls Of Fire ppv.

Very good promo by Enzo, he's starting too grow on me a little. Expecting him too get the crap beaten out of him at GBOF by Cass

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,560 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Liked Enzo's promo but it's a shame he's such a long way off being able to back it up in the ring. If he was even of average ability as a wrestler, he'd be huge.

Build up for Lesnar and Joe has been brilliant I have to say, real big fight feel about it, actually feels like a ppv headliner as opposed to something thats going to be the last match

The only trouble with it is if it turns out to be fantastic match then in a few years time we'll have to recommend people check out Great Balls of Fire 2017 :pac:

Strowman kicking Apollo while he was doing the standing moonsault was great.

Licking Apollo's head was a bit mad though

Imagine how weird it must be if he asked permission to do it, or weird that he'll be asked why he licked Apollo's head

you can really see the brotherly looks of Bo Dallas and Bray Wyatt with Bo's attarire during the miz segment. Bo does look like Rhynos son too lol

actually looking forward too GBOF but really hope they chance the name for the next few years, its just dumb

I'd say the lack of posts live to this thread are more down to A, the time zone B, The awful constant Ad breaks, C, three hours rather than 2 and D, most of all how easy it is to catch up the next day whether its youtube, skyplus or illegal download. [/B]

Enzo and Joe both had incredible segments.

Which is frustrating cause it looks blatantly obvious both are going to lose this weekend and be dropped down from their current positions....

Joe beating Lesnar, and then doing Joe vs Strowman as an Unstoppable Force meets the Immoveable Object, would be a brilliant storyline imo....

3 good raws in a row it has me very psyched for joe/leaner. I hope joe wins then goes against Roman for summerslam then you can still do braun/brock

He was indeed. I'm sure it'll probably start stupid speculation

Apparently he visits on a regular basis. Obviously cause he's got friends in the WWE, Itami and Nakamura. As for speculation, I doubt he'd leave NJPW, he's on record saying as much.
