Up to yourself really. I would have said tonight as it allows a rotation and a chance to get in. Means the list is finalised early too subject to any drop outs. From now on you could say, Friday afternoon is the announcement day, everyone knows they've the day to respond.

It means people won't sit on their spot for days, they have a good timeframe to confirm and lets those who want to get in, get in.

EDIT: Or even just first come first served for the first few weeks and then when you have a pool, start first refusing regulars.

Agreed. I dont think Vlad will make it.

If some guys are interested in playing two games a week, I think we will have numbers.

We shorted the length of the pitch by moving the goals to accommodate 6 a side. I think 7 a side would be okay if we used the length of the pitch, what do you guys think?

We will keep it a six-a-side.

For one, this pitch might prove irrelevant. UCD is proving to be an issue in that getting a block booking is nigh on impossible with them. I've been talking with the Sports Centre Manager in charge of renting pitches and the following are her terms:

* You have to block book from October-March/ April-September
* You have to pay the entire sum up front. Given the minimum block booking is 6 months, that ammounts to over €1400.

They were totally inflexible unfortunately and neither a deposit, advance payment or Standing Order will do. So, we're in the situation where we can only book week to week. We will do that for sure but I'm now actively looking at other venues to find a good astro pitch, where there are reasonable administrators!
