Athletics: Only two of the top ten in the 50km Walk have picked up formal warnings at the half way mark - one each for Japan's Hirooki Arai and Mexico's Horacia Nava. Three warnings means disqualification. Leader Yohann Diniz has been informally warned but nothing in his written record!

The name reminds me of the funniest sports-photo caption I ever saw: Pedro Diniz, F1 driver was caught in his car as it went up in flames in the pits at some race. The caption read - 'Diniz in the oven'. (He was unhurt).

Yeah he shat himself. You could see it when he was pulling up his shorts.

Heffernan tends to be strong the last 5k. If he can stay in touch he could pass some of that leading group. Not over yet. He may just be keeping to his own pace.
