I was there too, met our national Treasurer for the first time since blowup in IFA, I was going to stick in him, but just thought the future of farming and its reps is not my problem now.
He seems to be there all week...is he going again for president

Michael McDowell was in fine form in the Sindo today looking for more property tax from farmers.

    http://www.independent.ie/business/farming/agri-business/grossly-unfair-farmers-should-have-to-pay-more-property-tax-says-former-minister-35781343.html

I wonder if we would get the same services as urban Ireland in return?

The ploughing and the tullamore show are miles ahead of it.

    It was €22.50 a person.

We bought bulbs for lillies 8 for €40. They will never be planted but it kept her happy.

There was a pirate ship play house for €1250- I was nearly convinced by her. I said let's see the layout of the site after the lawn is put in to figure out the small ladies play area.

How time has moved on. When I was a child you'd be delighted if your mam gave you an old bed sheet so we could make a tepee in the garden 😊

She wont be small for long, I was saying yesterday the slide and swing set we have here are never used. Nephew came out and they have no garden , he was delighted with it. 1250 is alot of money, you'd get the slide , swingset and playhouse for half of that . All my kids want now is football

That's a fact and you'd be surprised what would be found on adverts and DD. I'll make a play area when the site is set up.

My aunt and uncle had a garden in it.
I think they got some award.

There's a lot of work in setting up a garden.

Some of the different parts can be bought in stages
OH priced 1 & was similar to your quote, but owner of the timber company highlighted you could get a tower & then add other parts as you have funds.
Kids love it, even in rain it's hard to get them away from it

2 pitbulls, and yet people will still try defending the breed as being great pets.

We've a little Jack Russell here and I would trust him 100% with kids and all that. Never saw him snap at anybody. Last week saw him rip a young kitten to shreds. Can't trust any of them. All killers no matter how quiet they seem.

You really wonder why these breeds can't be phased out, make them illegal.. Its not like there is any legitimate reason to have one, its a dog, get a lab !

Bull mastiffs. They were bred as gamekeepers dogs from Bulldogs and mastiffs. The sole purpose of the breed was to attack poachers coming onto the estate at night.
Your guess is as good as mine as to why they're still being bred in this day and age.

Jack Russells were bred to be hunting terriers for rabbits and rats.
    Hardly unusual.

Terriers just annoy me....little yappy ****es. Would only ever have a sheepdog around the place

Have a Black lab and an Elk hound, fook me wouldn't like to be a stranger looking shifty that got between them and the little lady who's 'their' person. The inlaws were over early last autumn with her crying in their arms, turned around and 2 very angry looking dogs standing in the doorway.

The best most obedient and docile dogs are the one's bred to be retrievers.

    Springer spaniel, etc.

    Not necessarily.
I keep a few dogs myself...from sighthounds to pointers/setters. The best bred dogs (in the right hands) are the most malleable. Depends on genetics and handler.
I won't start on horses. I've to go back to work shortly...

If you order replacement tags online you'll have them in a few days. It can cause problems in the mart. I saw a dealer throw up a bullock with one tag because the seller wouldn't give him twenty euro off the sale price.
