Neighbour went down and we've a history of it here. Always a nervous time here we've been depopulated twice! Only tested 4 months ago I'm glad it's not that close every year. Some job rounding them up and we've 3 pens!

On plane today a child cried for the whole flight. Felt so sorry for the parents. Woman beside us said you'd think they would shut it up !

Oh, you've lovely soil there, David.
Come down to my place, you need a lesson on picking stones.

Haha we picked 2 18 tonne dump trailer loads off it last year when it was ploughed. Its reclaimed quarry ground. Got the grass seeds in and all today. I didn't want to grub the field so gave it a run of the power harrow

Had a similar experience years ago on a long haul from Antwerp to Entebbe. A child (about 3yo) was in the seats in front of us. The little fella was crying and very distressed and his young parents were fraught trying to appease him. As soon as the smoking lights extinguished the elder mammy brigade on the flight took over and cuddled/rocked the little guy to sleep. Unfortunately those times are demising.
How is OH after getting half of his jaw pulled out.

He is grand. Beer is helping. Back to dentist Wednesday to get stitches out. Side of lip is sore were it was expanded beyond normality.

Shetland bloodlines are responsible for the ruination of the majority of our pony breeds.
    IMO they are vermin.

I remember going over to Zurich to pick up the OH and the kids from an overnight flight when we lived in Africa - I had been in Europe during the week and they had flown in on a Friday evening - Children still in their school uniform having gone straight to the airport.

To my horror the girl, who was about 6 or 7, came skipping off the flight surrounded by a lot of weary looking business types and honeymooners.

In her hand she was carrying a Recorder, given to her at school the day before.

A dog has literally just appeared in my bedroom! I can't stop laughing and he/she can't stop licking me. Help!
Kovu, how is the dog. Have you given it a name. Any idea where it came from.

Sister came home thurs from uk for a few days. Barely home and off in the car. Mother was unbearable. She arrived last night. I walked into the house. All the furniture from all the rooms out in the hall. The decided the kids room should be an adults room in preparation for a christening of a child not even born yet. She's leaving tomorrow and I'll have to deal with the mother being rock bottom again.

I pulled out the door and went to local shop for the lunch.
Life is hard enough without that loopiness.

And she's the nice one. But when she gets a fit of cleaning. I'm waiting for the lecture on the van.

Her nickname at work is nurse BB (bossy boots).

What is annoying is she doesn't see my mother at her worst.

Flopped on the couch after Communion today.
Had it at the house, 40 adults and 15 children, like all good country do's we Had a TD too, , herself is magic in the kitchen and did all the food, enough left over to feed another army.

Hammered down rain for first hour when we came home but cleared up and kids had a ball on bouncy castle and round the garden. Girls are just in now.

I won't need to be rocked to sleep tonight !!

Was at a communion myself this evening, great weather and a great feed. Youngest had a ball on the bouncy castle. We've had a lot of new people into the area (all young families) so a great way to meet them.
