Was pissed hatched a 10km egg and only got an eevee. Got enough candies to upgrade him to a 570 flareon, and that's my best.

Getting a little bit bored of it now tho tbh, think I'll put it to rest for a few days

Got my starter and a drowzee, nothing showing up for me around here. Going to walk home and to have a look.

How did you get to 19 so fast?

Something odd happens when I turn my location off via Android, it throws me to a pokestop at the Irish life building on Abbey street and just stays static there, think I'll have to get a few lure modules...

Your using mobile signal for your location. That's where the mast is.

There's 3 pokestops in a park here and plenty of pokemon. I catch everything I see and turn the ones I don't want into candy.

Everyone is having a poor experience. Especially after 3 pm.

The map is totally empty once you leave Dublin city centre. Went north and there were the odd recharge point thing but once past the M50 there isn't anything. Map is competely empty.

I'm 19 too and I evolved loads of things while using lucky egg for double xp. Apart from that normal play for 60km, getting pokestops and killing gyms.

Well it's an empty motorway. Drogheda has about 30 pokestops.

Nope. Not on mobile or desktop. 'None' is never an option. The payment options might change (Master/Visa/Paypal/Mobile) but you always need a payment option with a registered address in that country.

Tried ten different countries and two difference email addresses (that are obviously not connected to an existing apple id).

Strange. That's exactly how I did it on mobile, and have done for another few people.

The niece is absolutely mad about Pokemon.. me, I'm not a hardcore fan, but I used to watch the cartoon back in the nineties, but I am tinkering with learning how to do websites

Right now I am trying to get a site/blog up, more focused on anything and everything Pokemon Go and Irish related, especially user submitted .. just fun stuff

Do you think anyone would be interested?

Cycling is great for getting eggs to hatch! Just got an Eevee with ~25 candies...evolved into a nice 650CP Jolteon!

Has anyone noticed when you reach higher levels that the balls start curving of their own accord? Feels like they are plus the pokemon breaking out of balls more takes ages to catch even common mons

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,399 ✭✭✭eeguy

I caught a Kingler and the balls were curving left and right.

I know you can spin them but I haven't seen any benefit to it.
Has anyone perfected the throw to get excellent every time. Can't get my head around it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,084 ✭✭✭✭Kirby

Curving gives you extra XP and honestly, after a bit of practice I find it more consistent. But there is no perfect throw for all pokemon because some are in the foreground, some are in the middle, and some are in the background so they require different lengths on your throws. Plus, their hitboxes are different.

The circle gets bigger and smaller and how good your throw is depends on if you hit inside the circle. So throw when its big, and you will get a Nice throw as you have a big target and likely catch a pokemon. If its a high level, you need to let the circle shrink and try and hit the guy where the circle is small.

I rarely get an Excellent as the circle is so small so I don't feel its worth the effort, but I can get a Great the majority of the time now with curve. Ofcourse, occasionally I whiff and miss them completely but sure everyone does that. :P

I know how to do the curves but more I have a problem where they start curving even when throwing straight. I never had problems throwing straight at lower levels :/

I think it's the pokemon doing it. The balls glow even more than when you do a curl yourself
