I liked TFA overall and my second experience of watching it on an IMAX screen was definitely better than the first. I think it has set up the rest of the trilogy nicely.

That said there were bits that could have been done better. The whole Starkiller base part was a bit rubbish IMO. But I'm looking forward to finding out more about Rey and Snoke and the Knights of the Ren and why Luke has turned into a hermit hiding off the coast of Ireland!!

As for Rogue One the premise of the story is potentially great. It looks a bit darker as well although it is hard to tell from trailers and we are getting more Vader action (hopefully more than a 30 second cameo). I can't wait for it.

You didn't catch the Filipino lads did you? Quality watching :pac:

I love the high-fiving a the end (surely that's some selective editing?). Its as if they just blagged themselves a holiday by claiming they are high divers.

Sweet! Silver for Ireland in the rowing.

Those bloody camera angles made it look like we were a full boat length ahead of the French coming into the finish. Cracking result though, seem like sound lads too.

They finished their interview on RTÉ with a "Tiocfaidh ár lá" there.

The 10000m. 16 seconds knocked off the WR. She ran the 10000m at the speed I would run 50m.

The silver was miles behind and almost best the WR too. Sick ****.

The previous WR was set by a dodgy Chinese athlete and there's a fair few questioning this one too. Sonia is on RTÉ saying she finds it hard to believe.

It's quite a sad thing to see how little faith athletes have in their own sport.

Excuse the ignorance, what's that mean?

    "our day will come"
It refers to the dream of a united Ireland

It literally translates as "Our day will come" which in itself is just a nice little motivational phrase but it has long been associated with the IRA.

I don't know whether they meant anything by it but it's not a phrase I'd be throwing about.

I'm in Stephens green. I'm starving. I need burgers/chips/chicken wings type food.

    Where am I heading?

*oh and beer....preferably craft (waves at molloy)*

Captain America? TGI Fridays? Come on, give us another clue.

Walk up to Aussie BBQ. About 10-15 minute walk from SSG.

I've heard good stuff about Bunsen on Camden St. (bit closer to SSG than Aussie BBQ), never been myself though.

Porterhouse at Trinity end of Grafton St?

I've managed to miss every trip but a few mates of mine rave about Bunsen

Bunsen is about a 10 minute saunter from there.

You win!! Never been here before...first impressions are good.

On a different note...does anyone have any idea of what to buy your 67 year old father for his birthday?

He's not in to clothes, sports, jewellery, cars, golf ..basically anything?

+1. Bunsen is mediocre and overpriced for what you get.

Just to tie this all back to rugby.... Bristol's Callum Sheedy has it as his twitter bio, so, safe to assume he'll be looking for a move to one of the provinces soon ;)

An absolutely impossible perfect storm of exactly the right genetics, exactly the right training, perfect peaking before competition and everything going completely perfectly on the day, all the meals in the last 72 hours being incredibly and perfectly prepared maximising nutritional benefit and you might naturally get within 30-40 seconds of this time (maybe).

Sonia certainly seemed far from convinced by the legitimacy of that time... Sad times I guess

Any craft beer bar recommendations around Eyre Square?

Any craft beer bar recommendations around Eyre Square?

One would assume the original Galway Bay Brewery bar is around there somewhere?

Edit: It's a ten minute walk to your nearest Galway bay bar. Raven Terrance. Which is the Salt House on Raven Terrace.
