Italy would beat Ireland as well.

All of them would probably beat Ireland.

Out of that lot, only Portugal would I fear

I mean I wouldn't be physically afraid of any of them. But I wouldn't expect us to beat any of them in a game of association football.

Would fancy your chances against Denmark or Croatia. Probably a very similar standard to Ireland, would be a hard one to call.

Martin O'Neill plays puke football though, and the two leg playoffs don't really suit his style of smash and grab.

Unfortunately NI will be the team that all the ranked teams want. Portugal and Italy would beat us handy.

O'Neill has the most committed group of Irish players I've seen in my lifetime. A fairly poor looking team on paper in comparison to Irish teams of the last 20 years but they die for the cause. Very limited players like Duffy and Meyler looked fantastic.

It's not great to watch but they've rescued a qualifying campaign they looked to have bottled against Serbia.

Reading Rangers fans tweets is making the win extra sweet tbh.

I think Hook had an ok-ish point when he was just trying to suggest that people should look out for themselves and be careful.

I should really look up the exact quotes here but when he said (not exactly) "is there no blame on the person for putting themselves in danger" and "should she be surprised when she goes back to a hotel that another man comes and rapes her", I really don't know how to take those comments in any other context than it's at least partly her own fault for getting raped.

Again simple question, if it was the guy who got raped and not the girl, would you have the same opinion?

On what? Would my opinion be it isn't the guys fault? Of course, I don't see what difference it makes.

Sorry I misunderstood your post, it reads like you're defending Hooks position at first, which reading back I'm not sure you are.

No I'm not. I thought he totally crossed the line when he started dishing out blame.

    Impressive!
Gotta say though, Virgin in Waterford (I'm referring to my net supplier...ahem) is pretty good. Never had a problem.

There's definitely a 'how's the weather up there?' joke here but I'm finding it hard to dig out.

Some of the in-laws have been talking about this "hurricane" that's coming. Even comparing it to the ones that recently hit Texas and Florida. It has taken a lot of effort not to laugh at them. It will be a bad storm but nothing like an actual hurricane ffs!

Hey awec, I cycled by this place for sale on the kilgobbin road. Saw the name and I know you are looking in this area. Had a little chuckle to be honest

    'el Pinar'

Reckon I'll get a few loads of washing on the line.

It'll probably be blowy and knowing the fcuking eejits in dublin the whole city will be at a standstill and the m50 will resemble blanch car park on Xmas eve.
