When did bar staff stop being able to pour a proper pint of Guinness?

A good fee times recently I've seen them fill it far too high and top it up forward instead of back tap

It makes it settle quicker, used to do it when working in nightclubs (sort of places you shouldn't drink Guinness).

Question for any Unionists now living in the Republic, or anyone who might know same.  Does living in the Republic, and observing the greater crossover between GAA and rugby, and many kids growing up playing both, reduce any of the tribal associations and/or spark any kind of interest in the sport?  Do you (they) consequently find your/themselves caring at all how their home county does in the championship?
can't speak for anyone from the Protestant Unionist Loyalist (PUL) section of the community but as mentioned on here by many of my fellow Northern posters.  GAA is not played in any Protestant (State) schools in NI.  Rugby is not played in any Catholic schools in NI.  Many times the introduction to the either sport is after they leave school and head to uni.  Until that balance is sorted you won't see large numbers of PUL in NI supporting their local county or infact playing for their county.  Also on the flip side loads of very talented young Catholic Nationalist Republican (CNR) children who play GAA and have no knowledge or exposure to Rugby.  This severely limits the playing pool available to Ulster Rugby Academy.

However I do accept there are exceptions on both sides.

Is soccer played by schools on both sides of the divide or is it just more of a Loyalist only thing? The Irish League definitely has more teams of an Loyalist/Unionist background than Nationalist.

Played on both sides.  However from experience (many years ago) GAA would be the main focus at Catholic schools in the north.
Edit: The fact there are possibly more teams in the Irish league linked to PUL areas may be historical.  The teams may have been formed around the formation of NI (or before).  NI at its formation would have been around 70% Protestant to 30% Catholic.  However teams like Linfield for example who are in a PUL area have a large number of Catholics playing for them.  Its the same with all teams in the Irish League.  There is not the divide there once was.  It may only exist in the stands among fans.

Master of None plus it's soundtrack I did like. Might have to visit New York one of these days, if only for the array of culinary possibilities.

Plus I have a mate back home who is the double of Arnold, replete with designer whiskers/spectacles...

    Littlefinger
's face when that was said was priceless. I feel like he either has one last hand to play or he'll be dead by seasons end.

    When he
gave the dagger to Bran did he know Arya was back at that point? Was he trying to get it to Arya for some reason? Does he know about her murder spree and that she'll need Valyrian Steel at some stage? Is there some reason he couldn't have just given it to her directly?
If the answer to the first question is no then the rest is moot obviously.

    I don't think
he planned on either of them appearing back at Winterfell.
I'm not even sure if he has a plan anymore beyond trying to control Sansa and get in her pants.

    I think
    getting in her pants
is almost incidental. He is entirely about power and influence. If
he doesn't in fact have a plan
then I'm guessing the TV writers have taken a huge departure from the books.

He is always scheming. He indirectly said as much to Sansa last week with his "minds eye" speech. Exactly what he is trying to do I don't know. Ingratiate himself with the family to a degree, but he also gains from Sansa feeling isolated, which is definitely happening. His end game appears to be much the same. Hook up with Sansa to become King of the North to then make a play for the Iron Throne. Whether he believes the White Walkers threat, and what it means for his plans, I've no idea.

    I think
Littlefinger was trying to do to Bran what he did to Robyn, flatter him with Trickets to manipulate him. He probably thought Bran is going to be Lord of Winterfell- but Bran "died in that Cave". Also remember that Ayra saw Littlefinger when she was undercover being Twyins cup bearer at Harrenhall, so they both probably recognise eachother

    GoT:
No mention of Daario Naharris and Meereen so far. No Gendry yet either. Then again if you compare the episode 4 preview to episode 4 absolutely nothing was revealed.

    I think
I'll just put something in spoiler tags so you all have to click on it cos you think it's about game of thrones, but really I couldn't be arsed analysing the plot, I just love the battle scenes. ;)

In his defence (and I can't believe I'm actually trying to defend him) it seems to be his daughter thats been quoted in that article.

All the same though, I'm not sure whats worse, that they came out with that or that TII bothered to give it an official response.

He's definitely just doing it to cover up the story about his company getting 8 million of government contracts.

I'm going through a near definition of a first world problem here; gonna be in Spain on holidays for the season finale of GoT and desperately trying to find way to watch it (thankfully I'm just about back in time for Connacht playing on Saturday evening)

So I found out today that there is such a job as "social media influencer".

    That's an actual paying job?

Yeah it is. Effectively what the Kardashians do but for less money

You've no idea mate. I have to deal with them, some of them ask for absolute mad money (and they wouldn't even be the ones that think they are famous).

Was having a quick check of Twitter on my laptop before I went back to work after lunch. Apparently someone I follow has liked a tweet containing a porn video and Twitter has decided that it would be nice to show it in my timeline, which is nice of them
