MMA is weird like that. You spend months preparing for the one fight against a specific opponent and then to have it changed "last minute" can throw you completely. I suppose it applies to most fight sports but there's only so many ways a boxer can box, MMA is different.

Rugby league isn't too bad when there's no proper rugby on

It's like hog wrangling mixed with Ulster football.

Just spent a week with my brother and sister's families. Amongst them were children aged 2, 5, 7 and 9. I'm such a miserable bastard. I don't think I will ever have children.

Barcelona have launched The #WeAreAllLeoMessi campaign on Twitter to support a tax dodger. Right.

    I enjoyed it.

Stone Roses last night were good. The amount of 17 and 18 year old knackers weren't so good.

As my mate says..."if you weren't old enough to remember the first album on cassette then you shouldn't have been allowed in"

    Yeah !! i noticed the #WeAreAllLeoMessi......amazing isn't it??

Apparently we should all evade tax illegally to the tune of over 4 million euros, and get away with it........or we should all agree that it is ok. While schools and hospitals are underfunded.......

It is of course understandable, considering how little poor messi is paid.....what choice did he have. haha

We didn't see many at all. Either we were lucky or you were unlucky. The gig was great, better than Phoenix Park last time

Currently on my 6th hour wait around Lisbon airport for a Ryanair flight that has been further delayed again. Anyone ever successfully claim anything back? There's been no announcement, no food vouchers, no explanation. Delays happen and are uncontrollable but the lack of correspondence is frustrating.

Ah they were very good in fairness. Just happened to be a big gang of skangers beside us (flares lit as soon as they came on, blinding the rest of us with smoke).

Brown's voice is useless but somehow the whole thing works!!

I've gotten money back from Ryanair for a monumental **** up exactly once. They basically told me to piss off for 4 months via correspondence and pointed to their terms and conditions despite the fact that they were contradictory to the actual law on the matter. In the end I reported them to the civil aviation authority for a bunch of dodgy **** and they were back on to me within a week to offer me the money.

They're impossible to get in touch with by the way. They don't have an email address so you have to fill out a difficult to find complaint form on their website. And you have to do that every single time you want to contact them, you can't reply to the emails you get out.

Not a big tennis fan but always watch Wimbledon. Great win for Murray, he was immense today.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,967 ✭✭✭Synode

Murray well deserved it but thought Raonic made an awful lot of unforced errors. Being in the final may have gotten to him. Murray always looked in control.

I'd love to know what was wrong with Djokivic. He looked well out of sorts

4 British Wimbledon champions today. Not too shabby.

    So....

    Portugal or France?

I have a sneaky suspicion that it will be Ronaldos night

Hard to see past France. They've looked impressive when they needed to, Portugal have not.

No I think France will get their sentimental/emotional victory. After penalties though!

    Portugal should sneak it.
    I'm going 2-1

Ronaldo to miss and then retire.

    He's gone I'd say :(

I'd be interested to see the RTE vs TV3 ratings after the game. For those of us on Saorview, TV3 has an awful SD picture.

I don't know how anyone could watch this sport on the regular. It's criminally boring.
