    Ahhhhh, okay! :pac:

I did find Amazon selling the bundle for £370, so about €405, but nobody matching them this side of the sea.

Actually, Smyths UK site has it listed for £350... so nearly €55 cheaper than here. Embarrassingly, I'm tempted to pre-order on the UK site and collect it in Newry. :o

Can anyone tell me this. If I buy this from the American store on a different psn account would I be able to play the DLC (assuming there will be some) on my main account?

I think you won't be able to redeem the preorder dlc on your main account, not 100% on DLC. What I've seen that if it's a single player game, then dlc is shared with all accounts but if it's an online game then dlc only playable on purchasing account.

2 examples from me are, I preordered The Crew 2 gold edition and South The Fractured But whole from my Canadian PSN account. As South Park is single player I was able to access all pre order dlc and purchased dlc on my main account. On the other hand for The Crew 2, all pre order dlc and season pass content was only available on the Canadian account

That makes sense. I've just had a look at what comes with pre ordering. Just some suits and abilities in the game, nothing that really interests me so I'll likely get it from the *wherever is cheapest* psn store. €70 for the standard edition is a bit much.

Smyths selling it for 55 if you pre-order online and collect in store.

You can get the digital deluxe edition for around €45 on the Indonesia psn store (66 on the Canadian) . Tempted to get here as would be able to play on the Thursday as Indonesia is 6 hours ahead but need to check if dlc is tied to account

You should be able to yeah. But you'd have to buy it using the american account aswell.

Back when Dying light came out originally, there was a glitch on gamestop.com (US) where the season pass codes redeemed as the game.

The devs then allowed everyone to keep both the game and the season pass content and I could play the content on my main account.

That is some deal. I had a quick look at how much Indonesian PSN cards and it seems it'd take €65ish to get the game that way. I don't think it's possible to use a card not from the country of the PSN store? So that would rule out even Revolut.

Edit: Found Indonesia PSN cards a bit cheaper so it'd cost about €53 for the game. Not bad at all.

I think you can use Revolut to purchase from Indonesia store. Saw some people mention it on hotukdeals in one of the PSN Indonesia threads

I ordered 2 cheap second hand games on amazon from the gamestop list, both delivered for 18 euro then traded them in against spidey. Grand total 19 euro.

Doubt it will be picked up any cheaper.

This sounds like a good idea. Which games are the cheapest to pick up?

This is absolutely savage! Best photo mode I've seen in a game yet. And the view looking down on the city near the end, holy Jesus.

How often are you actually going to use it though?

Wonder will they do a country side DLC. Poor Spidey would have to walk everywhere :pac:

I love taking in-game screen shots with that share button, it's a bonus for me when a game has a photo mode. Sometimes I spend a ridiculous amount of time setting up shots so the fact I can make my own range of comic book covers is ****ing epic for me.

I haven't watched anything to do with this game since the first gameplay at E3 but it's the first game I've been this excited for in years.

Anyone know if TheGameCollection delivers on release day? Seems to be the cheapest option (that doesn't involve Indonesia :p)

Loved that game as a kid.
I remember there was a cheat code or something that made you unlock all the spidermen outfits, I kept using the one that made me go invisible.

'EEL NATS' was the code to unlock all that. And yeah, I typically used that same costume, or the Captain Universe costume (black top half with a silver bottom half) which meant you could be invincible and have unlimited webbing without using cheats.

Heh, yeah. There was also a funny easter egg where typing in curse words would result in Spidey popping up on the bottom left corner of the screen, doing his punch motion and the curse word would be changed to something like 'Balloons'.

Not sure if it's been talked about here but the fact that there's no fall damage in the game seems really weird to me, seems like it'll make any tight web swings pretty inconsequential.

That's something I imagine Marvel had pull in. Can't have videos of Spidey going splat from the highest point in the game.

There is also no day/night cycle which is disappointing.

Idk I'd imagine it's much easier for game design too, in fairness they've probably tested the game with fall damage too and maybe they just didn't like it as much.

Yeah was reading the Day/Night thing is because the story of the game takes place over a period of a couple weeks, so it would feel pretty disconnected to have the player be able to cycle through weeks just roaming around and then go do a mission and have the characters act like it's only been 24 hours.

That's kind of a nonsense excuse imo. You can do precisely that in the Witcher and it has never been an issue for me, and presumably millions of others, playing the game.

did they ever have fall damage as a thing in any games previously?

IIRC, the main reason you kept swinging was to preserve momentum, so you'll naturally still want to avoid hitting the ground.

I hope there is a stumble or rolling animation at least. Hopping off the Empire State building just to land normally would be a bit silly even for a superhero game.

Not an issue for me, although it is a bit silly that Spidey will take damage from enemies, but not gravity. Probably due to Peter's love of physics.

As seen here, the application of fall damage has varied over the years. In the previous two Amazing iterations, they seem to have taken a similar approach to the Arkham games whereby the character will automatically do a last second recovery maneuver rather than hitting the ground and potentially dealing with the damage question.

Damn. I was just going off a web article and I know you've played it for review so fully believe you.

Do you think there's sufficiently more hours in it if you venture into side quests and collectibles?

Monster Hunter dealt with this well. The character would auto-hook for a soft landing as he landed and it looks smooth and didn't interfere with anything.

From ESRB, describes why it has a 'Teen' rating.

This is an action game in which players assume the role of Peter Parker/Spider Man in a fictional version of New York City. From a third-person perspective, players fight crime, swing around buildings, and engage in melee combat with various thugs. Characters mostly punch, kick, and throw each other during fights; some enemy characters also use pistols and machine guns. Combat is highlighted by realistic gunfire, screams of pain, impact sounds, and occasional slow-motion sequences.
One cutscene depicts a character in the background shooting himself in the head; another cutscene depicts a mugger shooting an innocent character (just out of frame). Some missions/plotlines involve drug deals and “designer narcotics”; one scene briefly shows a duffel bag full of white packages of the drug.
The word “sh*t” appears in the dialogue.
