I partly guessed the offer was still going ok, Lycamobile believe in carrying out their t&c's to the word and had the offer finished I've no doubt that those with data balances would have seen that balance wiped out. It's great to see the offer continued though, I think it's brilliant, especially for a plan for kids.

Take a look at the lycamobile website lads and see their offers, Data speeds really depend on where you are to be honest, some people say they are very slow I can only telly you that in and around Waterford City my wife gets between 4 and 6mb download any time I've ran a test from her phone.

The €15 plan includes all landline and mobile calls within Ireland and unlimited texts along with 20gb (possibly 30gb) data Mind you, Tesco mobile offering for €15 where you also keep your credit is possibly a better deal that this one now.

The offer we are talking about which we refer to data running out, this is where when you top up by less that €15 a month, you get 10gb of data and for more than €15 top ups you get 15gb of data for free, this free data offer has been running since last September and gets extended every month, but lyca are still saying it's just a promotion and could end anytime. Along with each online top-up you also get free mins to call other mobile numbers and landlines, depending on how much you tip up, determines how many free mins you receive. It's worth noting though that these free mins only run for the calendar month and not the 30 days of your top-up.

Lycamobile customer service is ****e, there referral system is a complete joke, but if you are looking for a provider who is in my opinion reliable and has very good offers, you'll do well to find one better than lyca.

Oh and finally, they operate on the old o2 network which is currently being used by Tesco and 48months so there's currently no 4G available.

You dont need to buy two bundles,eg if you buy the europe plus bundle you get 300 international and national minutes plus 3gb national data for €10 so that covers both your requirements

Alternatively you could top up by €10 thus receiving 10gb bonus data then use the €10 to buy the above bundle

wanted to call Pakistan but I see there is a bundle that gives data as well.
guess i will have to use the leftover credit for irish calls and texts

A lot of people cannot text me, a few say that cannot call me, and i have been back and forth with these guys.
It may be three blocking them, i have no idea, but it is a nuisance.
My sister has the same issue, but none of the people that she is aware of, are particularly relevant for her to leave lycamobile.
For me, it has so far been 6 customers, 2 friends (permanently) and my nephew that are unable to text me. I can use whatsapp but that is not good enough.
Whenever i ask Lycamobile about it i get a "TEST" message from lycamobile. To which they ask me "did you get the message i sent?"
When i tell them i did, they assume it is fixed.
If, like my sister i did not need to be contacted by everyone, this would be an acceptable service. But for me it is not.

Strange, I was able to put through three top-ups in last 48 hours, all via Paypal and all applied to accounts within a few minutes of me doing them. There was definitely issues last month with top-ups via Paypal as none on the ones I tried went through then, but it was fine again this month.

Also using the lyca SIM toolkit which should be on your phone as the sim card installs it, try switching to UK and then back to Ireland

Was thinking of swapping over from Vodafone to this but don't think I'll bother now with all the issues theere seem to be.
Price looks great but it's a major problem if texts are not getting through

Got a text saying €5.50 was added to my account.
This would normally be €6 so things are changing

Yes for texts and voice.
For data no, you have to pay for an additional addon.

That is "on-network" only, in other words only to other Lyca customers.

I have to say, these new deals are a serious step down from the previous 10GB for €5/10 top-up deal, very disappointed.
