Watchmen wins the tie in impressive fashion to move forward. We come now to the final tie of the round and we finish with a big one. It's a Marvel vs DC clash that could be hard to call...

    The Avengers

The Avengers takes the win in an intriguing encounter and thus earns our final place in the round of 16.

That wraps up Round 2 and leaves us with 16 terrific films that will need to be whittled down to just 8. The next round promises to have some cracking matches.

I aim to post up the draw for the next round tomorrow evening after 7 pm. It should be good fun so hope to see you then.

Okay folks, the draw for the round of 16 has been made and there's some great encounters ahead. I would say the third match-up this round is perhaps the most interesting, but there are plenty of compelling bouts coming up.

As things are really heating up now in the tournament we will be upping the requirement to 4 votes needed to go through.

So with that being said, let's get the first tie started...

    Thor

    220px-Thor_poster.jpg

    VS

    Unbreakable

    215px-Unbreakableposterwillis.jpg

It's 2011's Thor, starring Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman, versus 2000's Unbreakable, starring Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson.

What do you think is the better movie? First to 4 votes takes the tie.

The Dark Knight wins the tie and advances to the quarter-finals. Now to the match that I reckon could be the tie of the round...

    Superman

    VS

    Batman

    220px-Batman_ver2.jpg

Not for the first time in one of our tournaments we have ourselves a Superman vs Batman clash, as Richard Donner's 1978 film, Superman, starring Christopher Reeve and Marlon Brando, takes on Tim Burton's 1989 film, Batman, starring Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson.

Which of these films do you prefer? First to 4 votes wins it.
