In fairness if he's fourth choice he's obviously not a good kicker.. Cartys rubbish and Ronaldson kicking from centre shows the general kicking calibre of the natural 10s.

He's also very young and inexperienced at this level

    11-3 at HT

Great effort there from Connacht. Pity they were just held up short of the line, but Ulster offside. Penalty though. 11-3 at HT.

    23 isn't THAT young.

I'm not getting on him, just not surprised if he misses when even our first choice is pretty rubbish at set kicking.

I'd rather we threw this game tbh and just rested players... Will be annoying coming away with nothing and putting out a strong team.

Think connacht miss marmion. Cooneys extra step is putting receivers under pressure.

Get nothing tonight and it could come down to a clash with Glasgow for a home semi on the final day.

Old news at this stage :pac:

Ulster linespeed is good for their defence
    Niyi looking lively
Muldoon having another great game - did a great turnover

Think this game and last week have shown how to play against Connacht. Big line speed and pressure their back line and the handling looks ropey.

How fussy is dudly Phillips? ??

Nice try for Gilroy. Payne did well to get the offload to him.

    Lovely offload from Payne.

Really rate Gilroy as a winger- what I see, I like

He ruins nearly every game. he also cards more players than any other ref.

Not sure last week said much. Played in a gale and Connacht still won the game. Think they are suffering from the 6 day turnaround tonight. Intensity and energy just isn't there.

Connacht will be kicking themselves for missing touch there

    In defence, great!

Posted in wrong thread. But I'm fairly sure that was forward.

Super play from Payne. Having a fine game.
His footwork to get his stride, pace, and angles right when going for the gap between two defenders is second to none in Irish rugby.

Ulster smelling blood and go in at the corner. Good pressure but conn should have seen the ball into touch at that pen

    Add your reply here.
He is almost imagining some of the breakdown penalties to me. Against both teams.

Not sure this is about tiredness in the backfield. Ulster are straight up in their faces and nearly every attack ends in an unforced error.
