Ah stop, I didn't read it properly... Friday morning head, not with it!

Watched vid. He has a good bluetooth dongle so my guess is he hasnt disabled / uninstalled his motherboard bluetooth causing conflicts.

Id give my motherboard bluetooth a try at least. Then get a decent dongle if needed.

He did say the blacks look really good. Id say HL Alyx would look excellent in OLED. A lot of dark levels.

I'm going to try with the built in Bluetooth first. It's 5.3 so new enough and has two antennae but both might be for WiFi or could be one each, not clear from the specs but we'll see.

(Pre)Ordered on Smyth's so have to wait a while longer for delivery.

I have HF Alyx already to go, have a Q3 also but saving it for PSVR2 as should look better on that.

Ive completed Vertigo 2 also. Another 1 to consider on OLED for the very bright colours and great gameplay. The Steam version is bug free and plays really well. I know there were definitely issues with the PSVR2 version around launch time.

The pre order option only became available again, just before I posted. It was gone since last night. So your head is fine ;)

For people wondering about the bluetooth and controllers. You can at least check if they will connect to your PC/Laptop. Now it won't give you an idea how the tracking will be until you get your adaptor. Just do the first steps in PS PC App to connect the controllers.

Yep from all accounts it's supposed to look amazing with better colours and brightness than any other headset. Also fov is supposed to be great.

Only resolution is a little lower than Quest 3, and more mura issues, but other than that it sounds amazing once you get it working.

Has anyone plugged the PSVR2 into a Steamdeck?

    Just to see what happens?

Metal Hellsinger VR coming Oct 3 at 30e.

No upgrade path for existing owners.

Probably won't double dip on this as I've gotten the platinum and played the feck outta it on flat.

Ah that's a shame. But I honestly don't think I'd be able for the locomotion in it.

It could be a bit hectic alright.

At least Behemoth is coming as well and looks great.

Smyths order has changed to processed today for the adapter. Will probably be Monday at earliest before it's delivered but fingers crossed they deliver on Saturdays.

I think they use An Post for delivery so small chance of delivery tomorrow I would guess

Typically I have mine been sent to work (closed at weekend) as I'm in the office til Wednesday

Just took delivery of the tp link adapter and the display port cable this morning, I'm ready to rock

I got my smyths order for my psvr2 a day before it's release date

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,106 ✭✭✭bazzz

They normally use An Post. But this time my tracking is showing DPD. Not that it will make a difference. It'll be with me on Monday for sure. Unless they(Smyths) have put a Deliver Saturday sticker on the package, which I doubt they did.

Got mine on Wednesday. Flight Simulator in VR is great, almost makes me feel like the €650 I spent on this headset wasn't a total waste.

It looks like my order from Smyths is being delivered today by DPD.

    "

Your parcel is on a van and due for delivery. Expected delivery time 15:00 - 16:00

Edit : My adapter has been delivered.

I just used the first displayport cable I found lying around a drawer I have. Used the controllers without any Bluetooth issues for a bit but they're not great with flight sim so just using the flight simulator controllers I have for it now.

Got my adapter delivered earlier so hopefully get to try it out later.

Do you still need to delete iVRY driver's if you had that installed? You used to have to when PS app was launched recently but haven't seen much discussion of it since so not sure if they fixed it somehow.

I'm running the PSVR 2 PC adapter on a Lenovo Legion 7i Gen 6.

Specs : Device name LEGION 7i LAPTOP
    Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-11980HK @ 2.60GHz 3.30 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.9 GB usable)
    GPU : Nvidia RTX 3080 16GB VRAM

    OS : Windows 11 Home

    Version : 23H2

    DisplayPort to USB C cable:

    WARRKY 8K@60Hz USB C to DisplayPort Cable [Gold-Plated, Aluminium Shell, DP1.4, 1M] 4K@240Hz, 2K@240Hz, Thunderbolt 3/4 to DP Cable

    Built in Bluetooth : Intel/Realtek

Everything worked straight out of the box. I switched to performance mode on the laptop and disabled the on board Intel Graphics via Mux switch.

I've tested games like Lone Echo 1 & 2, Half Life Alyx & Mods, Aliens and all running really well so far. I've tried 90hz and 120hz and for the little testing I did, it all worked well.

Was thinking of getting the VR2 but 600 is steep. Would there be any drawbacks in getting a second hand one on Adverts?
