Yes, Jose Aldo the only featherweight champion in UFC history who hadn't lost in years was an easy fight.

    Stupid, stupid post.

He got a beating..............this time he's taking it seriously, as in no distractions.

He gets plenty of stick for being on talk shows or nightclubs but when he decides to knuckle down he is making a bad decision?

People who don't like Conor will always attack everything he does and those who like him will always defend his actions.

Rare is the person who can acknowledge both the positive and negative aspects of his behaviour.

    Yes, exactly as he should.

Don't deflect from the fact that you called Aldo and Mendes "easy fights".

And yet here you are engrossed and talking about it..

Without knowing the full facts its a bit early to be calling it a pathetic farce.
Now that I know the full facts I'll stick to my earlier "statement".

Pages and pages and pages of theories over the past two days on here :-)

For what its worth, this could possibly be the whole promo to hype up the fight, and the world is falling for it all. Dana knows who his cash cow is, and would probably love nothing better than Conor to win the fight, so this whole plan to create all this drama, is he, isnt he, all the while Conor is training and not doing any promo in order to up his game for the fight to try and win it, because lets be honest it is a challenge for him

Just my tuppence worth on the theories

I didn't i said that he saw they as easy as he didn't feel the need to "shut the world out" and not do press as with this one.

    No more no less.

He brought the whole promotion side of it on himself, now he doesnt wanna do it no more. He was the one who was doing all these things to get in the public eye, trash talking etc, now he seems to have enough. You cant have it both ways Conor, this is the bed you have made for yourself, sleep in it.

Coach Kavanagh needs to stop with the tweeting.

Now with that Kavanagh tweet, he's got a bit of leverage, that's huge.

Try and take the Reebok deal out while you're at it Conor! :)

Ironically, Conor's "I want a break from promoting fights" statement has garnered more interest than ever. Well played.

Of course he feels the need to shut the world out for this one. Nate beat him, the first person to beat him in a long time.

He's rightfully taking Nate very seriously. Nate has shown that he absolutely can beat Conor and Nate is going to have a full camp this time too. I'm a big fan of Conor but I reckon he's going to have a tough time in there against Nate (if he does get in there) even with a full, isolated camp like he wants.

I don't see how he trolled anyone. He's genuinely off the card, losing out on a big payout in the process. Conor likes money.

You seriously think he is losing money here? He has numerous more multi-million dollar paydays left in the UFC alone, never mind outside of it.

When he does fight again he can name his price. He is so far ahead of the curve in terms of earning potential, literally nothing can slow him down.

What he said in his statement is so true, he does more to market UFC events by tweeting than they they can do for themselves by spending.

I don't remember him getting any stick for being on talk shows.

You have to do the promo's, whether you like them or not, so yes this is a bad decision.

If only other fighters on the UFC roster could see what Conor is trying to do, and get behind it. Instead their only thought is "Oh Dana, give me da fight, pwetty pweeeese".

Mendes had 2 weeks prep and Aldo was finished with one punch. That's like hailing Hasan Rahman for beating Lewis with that one punch. He hasn't had a rematch with Aldo and hasn't fought a top 5 fighter at 145lbs who's had a full camp. I can't even remember is Porier was top 10 when he fought him. He has beaten a lot of nobodies on his way to the title.

the generation of the self entitled. the independent article on "our unloved millennial's" was spot on.
everyone wants the big corner office and they want it now.

the mass cognitive dissonance has already kicked in and he has been forgiven for the tantrum two days ago.

Good statement, not his fault that when he says he's done promoting it sparks a ton of interest, basically negating the point he's trying to make.

I'm just glad he's gonna keep fighting.

"There comes a time when you need to stop handing out flyers and get back to the damn shop", is a brilliant quote in fairness.
